Dear Members,

One of the key ask from our members have been to increase the number of banks by which members could pay on PaisaPay. We are happy to announce that from tomorrow onwards, members will be able to pay on PaisaPay using their Visa and MasterCard Debit Cards.

Please note that Visa or MasterCard may not support payment through some debit cards at their discretion. For example, members will not be able to use Maestro Debit Cards to pay. Also, when paying via debit card, some communication on site may continue to say that you have paid using credit card. We are in the process of changing messaging on the site and expect to complete this over the next couple of months. You can go ahead and start using your Debit cards on PaisaPay.

We hope that this will give a lot of flexibility to our buyers to complete their payment. If you have any questions, please feel free to post on this thread.

Thanks and Regards,
Sapana

Hi, I tried to pay by debit card. My Visa debit card belongs to my account of Union Bank of India, Nalgonda branch, Andhra Pradesh. I entered debit card number, then there is a blank for to enter 3 digit number where as my debit card pin number(secret number) is of 4 digit and then a blank for Name as on card. My card has no name i.e. my name. I am not able to process my payment through my visa debit card, please advise.

My company pays through cheque issued in name of the seller for certain purchases. On these amounts employees are eligible for income tax benefits. Can I make payment through at par cheque for e-bay purchases (Nokia E63 mobile for example)

Hi, I made a payment for an item from the list using my debit card. I used a citibank Mastro debit catd. Unfortunately I got a transaction not completed message but I can see that my bank acount is debited already - details below:

22/10/2009 PURCHASE SUBJECT: ONUS 22OCT0953 CT =EBAY INDIA PVT LTD Ref: 929519671985 13700.00

I just saw that Mastro card will not work - how do we proceed further now.

Thanks

I have also tried and failed. The format is same as credit card which will not work. CVN is not 3 figure for debit card and there is no valid/expiry date for debit card.

Dear sherbagm-2009,

On the payment page, you would get an option to enter the Credit card details. This field needs to be used to enter the Debit Card details as well which would include the CVV number.

The CVV number is visible on the back site of your Debit Card and not your Debit Card Pin.

We are in the process of changing messaging on the site and expect to complete this over the next couple of months. You can go ahead and start using your Debit cards on PaisaPay.

Dear jdchaurasia,

If the seller is offering cheque as the mode of payment, you may be able to pay via cheque which would be in the sellers favour and the seller would guide you on the payment instructions once you have purchased an item from him.

The other option that we would suggest is making a payment through Credit card which you may reimburse from your company as per your company policy.

Anil
