Ebay team,

Is there any seller protection on your platform?
Everytime its not just the money but reputation is also important and sometimes its more important than money.
If a buyer threatens sellers to leave negative feedback to get what he wants and to dictate the terms what should we do as sellers?
You will tell to report with full email header but what if we had been threatened on phone and havent recorded buyers' voice(comments/words)

Further its also possible that oversmart buyers can open a item not received as described dispute and according to your policy we have to refund ....
just imagine a buyer buys a memory stick from us.
We send him a good working piece after due checking. Now he opens a dispute item received is not working and and wants a refund..obviously he has to return the memory stick back to us but HE CAN ALSO SEND HIS FAULTY PIECE BACK TO US(Which he has with him before making purchase from us)....As you might be knowing there
is no serial number on this sticks so you cant differentiate which one was yours, neither you can prove that becuase these sticks are identical.
Think about it and act on this issue immidiatedly than we will restart our listings on ebay.in

Dear vikasintl_in1,

I aggree some of your comments. There is no seller protection.

I had an experience with one buyer who made a multiple orders(total - 7) and selected cheque as his payment option. The total was more than Rs.3000, When I didn't recieved the payment and reported unpaid Item, he sent the comment that he has already paid and its debited from his account.

Buyers should be verified like we do. This is the only way. ---------------

Hello,

I too agree with you on the issue of SNAD (significantly not as described.)

Product not working is a warranty issue and a snad dispute cannot and should not be opened by the buyer for the same.

eBay attitude towards disputes is totally one sided - favoring the buyer without hearing the seller's side. And if there are too many disputes (or even unfavourable ratings) on the seller's account (however unjustified), eBay will simply suspend the seller for non - performance. Upon which the seller will have to satisfy each and every buyer who has grumbled against him(fairly, unfairly or just to cheat the sellers) to be able to trade on the eBay.in platform again.

However there is a very simple solution in your case. You just have to sign the product which you send with a permanent marker, so you know when the buyer send the product back to you whether it is yours or he has substituted it with another product.

postingid.in ,
thanks for your repsosne,
in some cases permanant marker can solve the problem but you are also aware that if people can copy this marker sign also.....but thanks for your suggestion any way.
My whole point is why seller is not protected ....becuase you know we give our best efforts to satisfy customers and thats how ebay.in indirectly runs.
