Hello,
The following are the ways to communicate with a member.
To communicate with the same customer, basically you need the following...
A. eBay user ID or B. Email of the customer.
1. If you have his email ID then go to that particular item, view the item like the buyers view , then click on "Email to a friend" below the shipping charge. If you know his email send him.
2. If he is not bought anything from you may not have his email ID, just go to messages folder...

Than look for the customer contacted you. And open the message and reply to him.
3. In case if you deleted the message or cleared by eBay, go to your email account (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail etc..) which is registered with your eBay ID and search for the item number or the customer eBay ID you got email from. You can find the original message from him and reply from there.
4. The final option is if you know the customer's eBay ID, you can go to his feedback page, click on "Contact member" and send him a message with item ID he is interested.
5. If you lost message or email id, then go to advanced search and choose "find a member" guess the customer ID's first 1-4 letters and search, if you are lucky you can find him.
I recommend all the sellers to use Gmail. It is free and now no invitation required from others to open account. It allow to have almost 2.8 GB emails. You don't need to delete any email from day one. Still i have email from my first customer, I have 8000 emails related to this eBay ID. Quite large number of search options available to find details, and saves my valuable time. 100% spam filter is quite amazing.
Kind regards,
