I am getting many orders with fake address and phone numbers. I think some persons are doing this intentionally.
I request eBay team to safe guard all the sellers from these fake ids.
I also request other sellers to post the same if you are facing the same issues.
Also, I reported the 3rd id to eBay and hence they haven't taken any action.

Just today a fake eBay buyer had bid on my item at the last minutes.
The genuine buyer was hence outbid and my item was remain unsold as its obvious that the fake buyer will not complete the sale.
The buyer details are as follows:

I too had reported the id to eBay and I hope they take appropriate action.
I request eBay to kindly at least check the authenticity of address and telephone number of new buyers.
Such fraud buyers are a real problem now a days.
Also,Many transaction are remain incomplete because of fun/joy bidder.

Today a sale has been completed. Just see the Buyer Profile. This buyer is registered since 2004 and Ebay has not blocked this ID. How much disturbing. Should we have to wait for 7 days to file UPI and then 7 days to get FVF credit.
Why not Ebay introduce system to verify Registration.

Ebay s requested to block this ID immediately so that we can close the transaction.

There may be dishonest buyers. But, there are dishonest sellers too. Let me explain my experience:
I purchased a mobile recently. I paid a rather high price for it. But, the item is not as good as advertised. It was advertised to have 1.9 MP camera, whereas it has only 0.3 MP camera. The phone memory was claimed to be more than 800 contacts, whereas its actual memory is only 300 contacts. The sound system has already gone bad. The display features are not attactive, but rather cheap-looking.
It is important to note that the buyer does not see the item in person. But he goes by the description of the item and goes to bid trusting the description. Thus, it is essential that the description given is 100% reliable. After the purchase, it is very hard to rectify the defects if any. Returning the item is not an easy job, especially when it is at the expence of the buyer. In my case the seller was not willing to replace the item by a fresh piece. So, I am adjusting with the defective item. Naturally, I have disappointment about the ebay purchase.
If you need more details about the purchse I can give.

You are absolutely correct to say there are always a possibility of Bad sellers lyeing in the system also. But this thread is strted to bring into limelight Fake Buyers who are disturbibg selling process very much. This is a recent phenomenon that false buyers are rushing in wholesale who do not even put their address, and we request Ebay to introduce immediately a check of Registration process to stop this nuisance.

But, I want sellers to think about the following issue.
A genuine buyyer pays amount through credit card and receives the item. Immediately acknowledges the receipt to confirm that he received the item. But the seller expects that only buyyer should give feedback rating first. In all these transactions only buyyer is taking the risk on ebay.
I had cases where I have immediately provided +ve rating to seller for receiving the item. But the item doesn;t work beyond a month.
Many sellers threaten on their website that they will only give +ve feedback, if they get +ve feedback.
The money a seller received is 100% pure. But the product and intent of business is very poor.
As sellers are bothered about fake buyyers, they should also understand the way in which many sellers are exploiting the loopholes.
As a result of these retaliatory feedbacks and misuse of feedback:
[1] Genuine buyyer ( For eg Myself ) reduced my buyying on ebay.
[2] Now I decided that I will provide feedback only after seller provides feedback.
This results in a deadlock and no one gains.
Pls think.

I want to know that if you are refunded the listing fee and FVF, what about the other charges like Home featured, reserve price fees, etc? We lose a lot more on these fees than FVF and listing fees. For fake buyers eBay should refund these charges or at least gives us that much fees credit towards another sale. The number of fake buyers in India seems very high. Some might even be rival sellers (from here and other sites) who are jealous and trying to make us go bankrupt. Lately i mostly am getting fake buyers and incomplete transactions.
I suggest all sellers block the fake buyers listed here to save their hard earned money.
Best regards,
Ricardo

I have a suggestion to make here. Whenever a bid is made - not just the bidder id but also the contact details (address & phone #) of the bidder should be available for the Seller to know who is bidding. So thereby we can cancel the bid and block the buyer then & there itself.
This step needs to be taken by ebay.
I want all you Sellers opinion on this. Don't you think this would help us to check the person whoever is bidding??
Ravi
