Dear all,

What the HELL is going on at EBAY. No control over sellers. I am oldest and trusted buyer on eBay. I bought all the items after paying the amount only thru credit cards under 'BUY IT NOW'.
I paid Rs.1539 thru paisapay using my credit card to seller 'shinestaroutlet' for item Genuine Original TOSHIBA 8 GB PEN DRIVE + 1 YR WRNTY (250161665660). Obviously I am eagerly waiting to receive the item. But seller came back saying that he doesn't have stock and offered some other item like 4 GB mp3 player. I am in urgent need of 8 GB for storage purposes so I paid in advance [I am working in one of the top3 IT services company as a senior manager]. Then after couple of reminders and frustration seller refunded the amount.

1. Why sellers are listing items without stock in their hands
2. why sellers are taking long time to refund amount if they don’t have stock
3. Why sellers are offering other unnecessary items. Is it a business strategy?
4. Why eBay encouraging this kind of business..
5. Is it not a waste of time for buyer
6. I wasted time in following up with seller…now a days time is money
7. I got panic also about my payment and amount. Why not ‘paisapay’ should immediately refund the amount to buyer and later they can collect that amount from seller as they have full faith on them..

After I got refund (I followed up thru eBay chat also), I left the below negative feedback as below…

My feedback on seller: listed 8gb drives without having stock in hand. Wasting time of buyers [was it wrong…I expressed the fact only here]

I am very upset with eBay model of business. That seller left me feedback as below

“Very Bad Buyer, Try to Cheat Sellers.. I refunded Ammount.. Be aware” .

How come they can give this type of feedback on me? Were they humans? EBAY should fine tune it and should start corrective actions in this regard. Otherwise I have to stop buying thru EBAY.

Its really an bad to see an oldest buyer from eBay having bad experiences.

This has become an common issue if a buyer leave a negative, even seller will do the same.

Sellers shouldn't leave the false negative feedback if they get a negative from buyer.

In spite, the seller can request for the withdraw (though the comment left is permanent) and any buyer will agree to it if the seller's communication is trust worthy.

Normally small time sellers don't keep stocks especially high value items. If the product if out of stock, then they should refund asap. Refunding from the PaisaPay is easy, but takes 2-3 working days to process.

Due to such sellers, buyers loose their trust on eBay.

Any way, I wish your future deals will be smooth. ---------------

Definitely the seller leaving false -ve feedback to buyer not acceptable, especially words like "Bad Buyer" "Cheat Sellers". I think it is unacceptable as a seller myself.

Some times mistakes happen from seller side. We are also human beings, work hard 8 hours in office and 2-3 hours for eBay after dinner. Some times mistake can happen, but i say extremely sorry to customer first, then i offer full refund if he like, or he can choose any item with 10-15% discount (They can buy any expensive item i don't care what they bought before). Though i loose 10-15% cost for a product, i can see the the customer's happiness there. This is best way to handle a customer. I don't force someone to buy of my choice, that is a bad business practice.

If seller is fraud you can leave -ve feedback, no doubt about it. For item not available cases you can leave a Neutral feedback saying "Item out of stock, seller refunded money" like that will be more nice way of pointing a sellers fault.

For the present -ve feedback, you can follow-up the feedback with seller, also both of you can mutually withdraw the feedback. I recommend do mutual withdrawal feedback.

Still eBay is the best online buying place, good luck next time.

The seller is perfectly right in giving you a befitting negative feedback. What are you complaining about? Seller has refunded money in full since he was out of stock, and you responded with a negative feedback since you are still not happy. Now think about the seller, who even after refunding the money got a negative feed back. What do you expect, he will give you positive feedback?

Its sad that buyers like " tlnsworld "
are met out with such treatement by sellers
The seller in question should not be surprised if he is shown the EXIT
If he does not change his business practices
Such behaviour of sellers is not at all expected and throws a bad light on the entire selling community
