EBAY COMMUNITY COURT IS CHEATING CUSTOMERS

The eBay community court is really cheating eBay customers.

The feedback which I left to a seller came before the court yesterday (19th August), and I gave a proper expalnation. The court informed me that:

"The seller has submitted his/her final statements. The case is now closed and has proceeded to the Jury who would start voting on your case soon.

You will be informed of the outcome of this case when the jury has finished voting which would be 10 days from today."

But came another mail after a few hours (not after 10 days: on 20th August early morning) saying:

"The Community Court has decided that the feedback for this transaction should be removed with a majority of 51% of the votes."

That means the case is not proceeded to Jury for voting.

The Seller (i am not disclosing his name) is getting a lot of negative feedbacks, all these negatives are being removed within a day. Now I understand what is the play working behind.

It's a real example of cheating from eBay, not only favouring its sellers but also protecting faulty sellers too.

Concluding, I am very disappointed with this experience from eBay and would like to share my experience to other customers of eBay.

"Community Court gives 51% because as soon as first 11 votes are received in favor of removal, case is closed."

How is this in any way a fair voting process. It is a highly biased system favoring the seller and can almost be termed a scam. All it will take is 11 people, who can be a single gang of sellers to remove any negative feedback against any one in their gang even if 100 people vote against them . UNFAIR!

I agree 100% to this statement with my own experience. No doubt, eBay community court is really cheating eBay customers.Ebay is fooling their valuable customers for their uninterrupted selling commission from big sellers like "i2cworld_inc3"

EBAY COMMUNITY COURT IS CHEATING CUSTOMERS

@thegentdent...

First learn how the community court works then comment on the issue, don't show your ignorance. Read the comm court rules.

For all those who are unhappy with the comm court, let me tell you all a few things about it.
1. ebay is the only place where you have a comm court where at least you can voice your views, on no other online portal this type of facility exists.
2. I am a jury member for a long time, in most of the cases the buyers do not respond to the comm court case, they can spend hrs here in the forum bad mouthing the comm court but why you cannot spend 5 mins to write your answer in comm court I cannot comprehend.
3. Most of the buyers, almost 80% and more use the feedback system as a way of communicating with the buyer and so comm court cases become useless once the buyer resolves the issue. It is ebay responsibility to educate the buyers in these matters but ebay shrugs off its responsibility.
4. Finally, if buyers are unhappy with the comm court then they are free to go some place else and shop, anyway comm court is for seller grievance so don't crib about it.

EBAY COMMUNITY COURT IS CHEATING CUSTOMERS

The eBay community court has been highly misused by fraud sellers to get rid of negative feedback. Voting system is big hole in the system there. Either eBay should discontinue "eBay community court" or implement revised polices.

i have been sent a package which should contain 3 pairs of 3d glasses according to the item description, but i received only one pair.i called the seller several times but he did not respond.then i desperately gave a negative feedback.now he calls after dragging me to court,is it not trying to fraud people like me,he only sold to me alone that product if ebay gives a clean chit he will make fools out of many.

Undoubtedly Ebay community Court is one of the biggest scam existing in the system among many others. The community court seems to be dirty racket run by sellers and safeguard their interest. In my scenario, I left negative feedback for a seller because I purchased multiple items, I received only a few, the seller provided bogus and duplicate tracking number for the remaining items. Inspite of repeatedly calling and email the seller, no response was received. When I left negative feedback for the seller, the seller appealed to the community court and the feedback was removed.
I can even see a gang of sellers lurking in the forums trying to defend the seller community and posting against the buyers who are complaining. Ebay can never rise above these petty politics and bogus policies because of these sellers.

I am a buyer as well as seller - and am always vulnerable and responsive to a buyers grievance. BUT WHAT ABOUT STUPID BUYERS who don't even contact a seller if there is an issue? Buyer who just leaves a -ive.. THAT IS NOT CORRECT EBAY ETTIQUETTE !! BUYERS TAKE NOTE
