Did not receive gift from EBAY India even after one and half years!!!

Hello!

I bought a Canon Digicam on April 2, 2009 (Paisapay ID 24078151748) and used an eBay gift voucher (LMSKDA0CYL). Ebay promised to send an external hard drive for this voucher. But, till date I have not received that HDD. I sent several emails and called many times to their customer support, but with no result! It's been more than one and half years now, and I am not sure whether I would get my HD at all!! Should I lodge a complaint to the consumer court now? Please suggest.

@lingua1981::: you should approach to customer care as we do have some rights here.And i guess e-bay will make me to go to the customer court also .


I also bought a fujifilm digicam on 17th october 2010 (PaisaPay ID: 27720500452) and used eBay gift voucher (DIWALISPL7).I have received the purchased item on 20th oct 2010 EXCEPT the free gift(250 GB Portable 2.5 Inch HDD).

Today i have received a SMS telling me that ebay needs 3 weeks to deliver the gift due to overwhelming response.

The post made by lingua 1981 shows the casual approach ebay staff is making towards the buyers.Is it some kinda joke you people play with us? Dont you have any shame?
What excuse you have for the one year delay? are you going to play the same old story this diwali?

I would like to remind the E-Bay promotion managers and specially Mr Zaverchand that please respond immediately on this thread and take the initiative to convince buyers not only by just words but also with real gifts as promised. We are not asking anything for free, it is our right to ask a the return for the money we have already paid to ebay.

I bought a Samsung N148 netbook during diwali and opted for a Hitachi 250GB portable HDD as free gift.

I have not received gift till date and to my surprise i got an email today:
"We had tried delivering the gift that you had redeemed during our Diwali promotion basis your transaction on ebay.in. We were unable to deliver your gift to the Registration address as in your eBay account. It was been returned indicating wrong / incomplete address. We were also unable to reach you on your contact number (mentioned in your eBay account) for an alternative address. "

I called up their support number 1-800-209-3229 and i asked a lady to give me consignment number which got returned. She gave me a number which is incorrect.
Clearly this is a scam. I will wait for one more week and will send a legal notice. These guys are taking others for a ride.
