Delivery time after despatch

E Bay usually provides 7-10 days lead time after seller has claimed to have shipped the purchased material. This, i believe, is too long a period. In past i have experienced that seller posted shipped status and actual delivery among metro cities has taken 5-6 days. Obviously, the seller handed over shipment to courier co. after a gap of 2-3 days after posting shipped message. This could lead to unhealthy practices and i request e bay to permit realistic lead time from date of shipment to date of delivery for metro and major cities.

Thank you for sharing your views. It is true that delivery in Metro cities generally takes 3-4 days at the maximum and in remote areas it may take 7-8 working days. And that is reason why we've minimize the PaisaPay timelines from 7 days for dispatch and 10 days for delivery to present timelines.

Rest assured, we at eBay keep close watch on the seller's activities and take an appropriate action against the sellers if noticed any malpractice, in order to keep our online marketplace safe for our members.

However in case of Electronic goods and high Value products , courier companies may delay to update their websites as such an items would be accepted only if insured and that may take additional 24-48 hours.
