Delay in PayPal Funds Transfer

Hi friends , Normally all funds withdrawn from Paypal to our bank account are credited within 3 to 5 days .
I have withdrawn some funds on 19th feb 09 . Paypal shows funds already transfered but they are not received in my ICICI account till date . Anybody else also facing same problem ???????

Paypal seem to have an office in India but their address and contact information is not available anywhere .:(

Dear Mr. Sushant,

Thanks for pasting the letter from Farhad Irani.

However, had Mr. Farhad Irani been more proactive and sincere towards this issue, he would have issued this email to all PayPal users on 27th January. His email is nothing more than a placebo.

He mentions that it may take 7 to 10 days to receive a cheque. This is totally misguiding statement as it is mentioned on PayPal website that they will take 5 to 7 days to just issue the cheque. And the cheque would be "mailed" not "couriered".

Mr. Irani hasn't mentioned whether PayPal has done some arrangement to ship the cheques faster via some reputed courier company. Ideally, in this type of situations, PayPal should tie up with a courier company and ship the cheques to their office in batches as they receive the request from the customers and the courier company will then deliver locally to Indian customers.

Here is how it should work:

1. PayPal should tie up with Blue Dart / DHL / DTDC etc
2. Then they should Inform all the users to ask for cheque (check)
3. Upon receiving the request from the users all over India, PayPal would then process the cheques in bulk and define the fixed shipping dates.
4. PayPal will then prepare the cheques and send them in bulk to a local office of the courier company with whom it has tied up.
5. The courier company receives the cheques in bulk and then re-ship them to the individual PayPal users.
6. The courier company provides the tracking number of each individual user to PayPal to ensure that they have shipped.
7. All are happy.

The above method is fast, efficient and economical.

Unfortunately, PayPal's management is either unable to think about simple solutions or they really don't care to resolve the situation.

I am also face problem from paypal. I am new seller. so I withdraw some token amount only $50, but can not transfer in my bank account in Oriental bank of commerce. And rewersed, reply that, can not transfer to indian bank.
now how can withdraw from paypal ?

Talk to ICICI bank and they said that it is not possible to transfer the funds from PayPal to the ICICI credit card (Visa card)

Mr. Irani is unaware of this too.

I remember the days when Royal Mail was on strike (October 2009 and November 2009) and eBay proactively tied up with parcel force and other services to help the sellers ship their items. One of my friend is an eBay seller in London and he mentioned many other proactive steps taken by ebay.co.uk during the postal strike.

Can't PayPal take the same measures and resolve this? They take great pride in declaring that they will refund the 5 dollar amount if we request for the check but they don't want to tie up with a good courier company.

I had got this massage of Mr. Farhad Irani through one of my friend, regarding withdrawal using cheque.

As have an paypal Account for last 6/7 years, I have had many problems with paypal, but as you all are aware always same canned response or long ISD calls with no good results.

But This time I am really surprised, with the response I got form Mr. Farhad Irani.

I tried to with draw funds using cheque option, It could not be done as my withdrawal limit was $0. So I had called paypal & as usual wasted in ISD no good solution, Than I wrote an email to Mr. Farhad Irani, I Immediately got an reply with in 1 hour, that my limit has been increased, I checked my account & withdrew the maximum amount possible & again I wrote that I have balance in my account & I will receive more funds till month end so this limit will not enough, as It has already exhausted. Once again I got reply with in 15 minutes that my limit has been increased to $10000.

I NEVER expected this kind of response form any one at paypal. I am really surprised.:-)

I have withdrawn using cheque before also, because 3/4 years back we did not have the option to withdraw directly to bank account, so I use to withdraw using cheque, I am aware this takes some time (Around 5 to 10 days to receive the payment). At least now we can plan properly than waiting for this issue to be resolved & loose business.

Write your problem to Mr. Farhad Irani for fast solution.

Hey Guys,

Looks like there is better option available for transfer at least from USA. Check www.indiapay.com. They are working with 2 prominent Indian banks to allow funds transfer from American checking account to Indian bank account and that too within 3 days. The fees are less than Paypal ($3) and funds directly remitted to your bank account using NEFT. Call up your bank and ask if they accept payment from IndiaPay channel. Seems like the best option for account to account transfer.

1)how should we ship items without money?
2)should we sell internationally or not?
3)should we accept paypal payments or not?
4)how to pay ebay fees without money?

they should help us what to do in this crisis we are just waiting and waiting
