There is a cap in the withdrawal limit now. So you wont be able to withdraw more than 2500 US$ per month. How do we survive after this?

Yes, It will take time to arrive but it will be an At Par cheque of any bank such as Citi Bank / HSBC etc and will credit in 5-7 days depending upon the processing time. Your bank will send it to the nearest bank branch of Citi Bank / HSBC etc.

I received a CitiBank cheque 2-3 years back. I received in 7 days and further it took 5 days to clear because Citi bank don't have branch in our Area.

stylish_india , Yes, ofcourse cheque is risky but we don't have any other options. For time being , we can use this service and later after resuming service we can use Bank withdrawals. I've already asked a cheque at 19th and when I will receive, I will update everyone here in discussion board.

According to PayPal account it is showing "Cheque Issued" so I hope they already sent the same to us.

The Credit Card is not a better option because after withdrawing the funds, we'll not have the cash which is necessory for 99% of businesses in India. Cash withdrawal from credit card is also very expensive.

Shivaexports..., How is a cheque risky? Any rational behind this statement?

mbaldiwala....

Cheque is risky because:

1) Paypal never specified any issueing bank name,

2) We don't know when it will reach the destination address. No contract with any professional courier.

3) PayPal never indicate what will be the result it we lost the cheque. There may be some accidents like Post Missing from Post Office/ Bank denied due to some other problems.

We should have information about all above three points to feel safe. At least for first time, rest when we used to receive cheques , there will not be any problem.

paypal should send the withdrawal payments through wire transfer. This will save all the sellers from this harassment.

Delay in PayPal Funds Transfer

Dear Sellers,

I feel the best way to withdraw the money at this time is through Cheque.

Long time ago, when there was no internet and no wire transfer facility, the only option available was through a cheque. Today also, many businesses that are not modernized are dependent on this slow process. So there is nothing that we should be afraid of requesting for a cheque.

It is better to ask for a cheque then to wait without any resolution. I have already requested for a cheque last week.

I feel, all of you who haven't done so, should also opt for this option as there is no other option available.

Kind Regards,
Rashida
