Community court ? Who manges it

I recently bought a Nokia Battery from edeal. The battery was flawed ,lower panel ie the black thing coming off. I wrote a mail to the seller.No reply. I left a negative feedback. H e addressed it to a so called community court. I was contacted by seller who told me that he would send me a replacement , but i should log in to community court. I logged in and furnished the details. Even after 3 weeks I havent received any replacement. And I receive a message that the community court decided to remove the feedback by 51% vote against 49%, can you beleive it.

I am also irked by the fact that many of the things listed in ebay doesnt mention the date of manufacture, why is it so. You can advertise something manufactured in 2001 at 99% discount in 2010, and a buyr knows it only when he receives it. I think displaying the date of manufacture for all goods should be mandatory

HAHAHAHAHA Oh my God !!! - i do respect ebay court, and any justice system for that matter! but on this one i MUST agree wth u!! i have been closely watching a few sellers - all wth 100 plus feedbaks! EVERY WeeK THEY GET few NEGATIVES which are mysteriously deleted in few days!! how does tat work?? pls share wth me!!! wont share the sellers names here though..some sellers get the -ive removed in less than 5 days ive noticed! Even if u go to CC there is a 10 day wait - so im really failing to understand!

I also had a similar experience. I bought a mixer 21 PC AMAZING BULLET MAGIC MIXER & JUICER. The blades broke off in the very first use. I e-mailed the seller. he refused to replace the item. So i gave a negative feedback. And he was able to go to community court and remove the negative feedback. I do not know what other options we have when the product sold is sub standard. This is a very bad e-bay experience for me.

The replacement was also delivered to you on 24th July. Your statement that you have not received the replacement is false and can be proved.

eBay court is managed by the right persons. Your feedback was totally unjustified and hence it was removed.

I had given you a company packed battery (unopened). You had some complaints so i gave you a replacement. Thats what a seller can do.

Who says there is wait for 10 Days in Community court? Here is how it works. Seller appeals for feedback removal, buyer replies, it moves to jury voting. 11 votes for removal and feedback is removed. I have got my negative removed in record 48 Hours by Community court. Buyer had admitted his mistake.

All those who are complaining that Court system is flawed I ask them to understand the system and than comment. half knowledge is no good. I will recommend following for pleasurable shopping experience on eBay -

1- In case of any problem contact seller and get the problem resolved before leaving negative or neutral feedback. If you are not contacting seller before leaving negative this thing is going to count when seller appeals to community court.

2- If things are not being sorted out or seller is not co-operating and you are forced to leave negative. And seller appeals in court, read his appeal carefully.

If you have given negative, have heart to stand by it and support it with actual facts and proofs. One sentence replies wont save your negative.

For sellers negatives are big problems but buyers dont really think twice before leaving negatives. (See my recent negatives- " Not Great".)

This is the only reason community court exist.

If community court is working flawlessly please explain my experience.
I bought from omgifts, 21 PC AMAZING BULLET MAGIC MIXER & JUICER. The blades broke off in the very first use. I e-mailed the seller. he refused to replace the item. So i gave a negative feedback. In the community court statement i uploaded the image of broken blade, and wrote how and when it broke. But for some unknown reason, jury voted to remove the negative ratings. Why and how it came to that conclusion. Its beyond me.

Don't just make noise for no reason, first learn to use the ebay system. You have a wonderful gift given on Silver platter to buyers like you and that is "ebay guarantee program". You can use this program to get your issue sorted out. First learn, don't expect to be spoon fed every time.

@linusstudios has been kind enough to explain how the system works so learn from it, go through the forms and make good use of it.

I am not making noise for no reason. I have a genuine complaint. Did you read my message fully? I believe i have a case for community court not working as intended.
I do not understand what do you mean by spoon feed. I am complaining that community court is not working and is flawed for some reason. Did i ask you to spoon feed me? If you know about "ebay guarantee program" and if interested in informing the forum/me, then inform. If not, do not respond to my message. I did not specifically post this question to you.
