Cheating on eBay

As a Buyer, I have made two transactions on this portal. In the first case, the Seller (Systeminflow) took my money for the item plus cost of shipping and told me that the item has been despatched - the item never reached me. Despite protracted correspondence, by e-mail, with the Seller nothing came out of it and the Portal too (it was then known as Bazee.com)washed off its hands expressing inability to help.
More recently, I placed an order for artificial jewellery (pair of gold plated ethnic karas) and even paid for insured shipping. This Seller too has not honoured its commitment. As far as I know, the item has not even been despatched. After acknowledging receipt of my payment cheque, the Seller ( Ms Mamta Arora of 33 LIFESTYLE)has stopped replying to my e-mails and the portal too has again washed its hands by saying that it has been over 90 days since the order was placed without appreciating that most of this time was spent in corresponding with the Seller(by eMail) who kept staling me.

I am posting this message to warn the fellow would-be shoppers of this Portal to be very careful while shopping on eBay and in particular to stay away at least from these two Sellers.

When bidding an expensive item, for example Mobile phones, iPod, Jewelry etc... please check the warranty they offer and seller reputation from feedback. Everyone has a wish to buy for cheaper price, fake sellers are making use of this opportunity and they offer a very good branded phone/iPod for 50% discount to get the what ever possible money and run away.

(Why not eBay check the identity proof like Passport, Credit card, etc if some one sell item priced above Rs.1000 for example.)

Please look for PowerSeller Logo next to seller before you buy a expensive item.

If you use PaisaPay you have 100% protection on your payment. You can definitely claim the amount paid though it is little bit late. Use Item not received dispute, if the seller does not reply about your shipping delay.
