Announcing launch of all new PaisaPay!

Announcing launch of all new PaisaPay!

We are pleased to announce that starting the week of 3rd December 2007 we will be launching several enhancements to PaisaPay. These enhancements are aimed at making transacting on eBay even more safe, fun and providing our buyers with a delightful experience. New PaisaPay will provide a mechanism for the buyers and sellers to complete their PaisaPay transactions with ease and help our sellers increase their business on eBay.

The New PaisaPay flow:

Key Highlights:

1. Providing a delightful buyer experience: Buyers will now be able to use PaisaPay for fast, assured purchases or get their money back! In case the buyer does not receive the item purchased with the prescribed timelines, he will have the option to get a quick refund.

2. Uniform performance guidelines for Sellers: In new PaisaPay the sellers will have fixed timelines within which they need to ship and deliver the item. This will help in providing a standardised seller experience where sellers will have clear performance guidelines. In case a seller needs more time to ship or deliver the product, he can request the buyer for a time extension.

3. Easy tracking of shipments for both Buyers & Sellers: Sellers will be required to enter the shipping details in My PaisaPay within the prescribed timelines. This will give buyers and sellers a quick reference point to know the shipment status thereby resulting in smooth communication between buyers & sellers.

4. Easy Refund Mechanism:

a. In case the seller is not able to ship the item: Seller can easily issue a refund to the buyer by not entering the shipping details within the prescribed timelines. In such cases PaisaPay will automatically issue a refund to the buyer. The sellers no longer need to follow the offline process of contacting PaisaPay Customer Support for issuing refund.

b. In case the buyer does not receive the item: If the buyer has not received the item within the prescribed timelines he has the option to raise a refund claim. In case the seller has delivered the item he will have 5 days to dispute the buyer’s claim. In case of any dispute between the buyer and seller on item delivery, PaisaPay’s decision will be final.

5. Seller Remittance on Buyer Confirmation: PaisaPay shall remit the money to the seller as soon as the buyer confirms item receipt or does not raise a refund claim in the prescribed timelines. Certain Qualified sellers will be eligible for Express Remittance.

6. Express Remittance for Qualified sellers: Sellers who qualify for Express Remittance will have their individual Express Remittance limit. Please note that Express Remittance is a privilege for sellers with strong business and good behaviour history on eBay. The option to offer this privilege to sellers will be at the sole discretion of PaisaPay.

7. Online Remittance to replace Demand Drafts: PaisaPay will remit seller’s money online to his bank account instead of mailing demand drafts. This will save both the courier & encashment time for the sellers. It will also mean no more cases of lost demand drafts.

8. Twice a week remittance cycle: PaisaPay will now be sending money to sellers twice a week (bi-weekly basis) replacing the process of weekly remittance.

9. All new My PaisaPay: The new ‘My PaisaPay’ in “My eBay”, will give buyers & sellers an easier interface to communicate with each other and stay updated on transaction details.

10. PaisaPay Phone Support to be extended to all seven days of the week: PaisaPay phone support will be extended to all seven days of the week (from current five days a week) from the month of December 07.

11. PaisaPay becomes mandatory: All listings will automatically offer PaisaPay as a mode of payment. Sellers can also offer other mode of payments. Sellers with 20 or less listings will be able to offer PaisaPay as the only mode of payment. Read FAQ’s.

12. PaisaPay Invoice: To ease the process of reconciliation and accounting your PaisaPay transactions PaisaPay would be issuing a monthly Invoice to sellers.

13. eBay Buyer Protection remains the same: Buyers will continue to remain eligible for eBay Buyer Protection after time-out period. All other buyer protection features will remain the same. Read FAQ’s.

14. PaisaPay EMI Option: Sellers with 5 or more feedback will have the option to offer 3 and 6 month EMI in their listings, which can be availed by buyers paying via ICICI bank credit cards. Additional PaisaPay charges apply fro EMI transactions. Read FAQ’s

To avail the Enhanced PaisaPay facility from the week of December 3, 2007, all sellers will need to register again with PaisaPay and update their bank details here. We encourage you to update your details as soon as possible on this link. Read FAQ’s.

We understand that you might have questions to understand the changes better. Please feel free to read the FAQ’s, go through the details on this page and on the tutorial, contact our Customer Service team or post your questions on this thread.

We are very excited about these changes as we believe that this will help us in providing a high quality online shopping experience to our users and help in making eBay the favoured destination of online shoppers.

Regards,
The eBay Team

Announcing launch of all new PaisaPay!

***************************************
I got a mail which was not pleasing
PaisaPay was at its best again teasing
From December it will be all compulsory
Packing bags for some sellers may become necessary

Making it foolproof for buyers old and new
Making fools of all sellers, if only they knew
I’d been thinking if it could get worse
And here they are ready to disperse

Now sellers' feedback will go unseen
As buyers clout will dominate the scene
After AWBs & PODs the seller rushes
Sooner than later we may have to go to the mattresses

Hi,

I totally agree with coolbrasco and newmarket05 replies.

Business is done successfully only through Trust. Not by fear.

In my 3½ years, I have faced many issues in delivering the product safely. Some orders gets delivered in 2-3 days, but few gets delivered after 15-20 days in India itself.

Still I have maintained with 1605 all positive. My shipping time average is more than 4.5 (from 483 feedbacks). Now with new PaisaPay, I am feeling to see a loss.

I send few items through India Post Service (Speed and Registered). The acknowledgment comes only after 30 days. My official courier service is DTDC, They provide PODs only after 30 days.

The refund system is not a correct way to handle.

Many buyers don't know to use internet, especially who are new (most of the orders are from new buyers). They don't leave the feedback. Once they get the product, they forget to confrim on eBay.

In August, I got approx 250 pendrive orders from Relience. All the orders were from same address but the IDs are different. I didn't received around 230 feedbacks. When they don't care for leaving feedback, how can they confirm each order as been delivered by signing-in from each ID?

They just called me over phone and told its been delivered. Thats it.

If they don't confirm, then all the amount will be refunded. This is what the new PaisaPay is, and the seller needs to live with fear.

The New PaisaPay with Online Transfer and EMI are good, But not other things.

PaisaPay needs to reconsider this issue upon the community.

Also they should protect sellers who are well established than supporting for buyers. ---------------

hi Snrama
now since now are talking about new buyers
i agree they are here for buying and forgetting ... they wont confirm
but neither will they mark it as non delivered
so no worries from them.
In fact they are the backbone of Ebay and we should respect ebay initiating more and more to get new subscribers in the allready inflated database of buyers :).
The worry is from some shrewd buyers who will misuse the said scheme of things that are to be unfolded :).
its a real good time for sellers to turn buyers NOW .... and resell all the free goodies in offline market

Announcing launch of all new PaisaPay!

Hi!

Most of the courier companies do not update their site frequently. Delivery status is not shown till many days online on their website. Some times never shown

Getting a hard copy of the POD takes time and is a hectic procedure.

When we send a copy of the POD by fax to PaisaPay, we get a reply after 2 days that PaisaPay has not received the FAX even if we get the transmission report was OK. So delay there too. (though details like item no PaisaPay ID seller ID etc written)

(Many buyers also complaint that even after sending verification documents by Fax to PaisaPay multiple times, they get a reply that fax is not received)

Only some reputed companies like bluedart updates website, but donot have service at many places. They donot get ready to send high value items to many places like West Bengal, UP & Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat etc.

There are many state govt restriction and we have to do lot of settings for the delivery. Many times we have to procure the required forms from the sales tax office and then send the parcel, it all takes time.

Some times parcels get mistracked / mis routed and then we have to get it retracted to the correct destination. It takes time.

Courier companies pick up boys are not ready to write all details like contents of the parcel and complete address on the AWB receipt. We have to request and sometimes even fight with them and get it written. Other wise they just write the consignee name, pincode, weight and sender name.

Will PaisaPay forget their commission and not charge us in case amount is auto refunded.

Will PaisaPay protect us and pay us in case item is delivered to buyer and refund is done by PaisaPay. I think they will just email is that you can solve the problem with the buyer amicably.

Will eBay close an item not received dispute in case of auto refund? Or do we have to follow up and waste our time, money and energy behind it.

Will eBay allow a buyer who stays in a very very remote place to leave a negative if the seller is not able to deliver on time?

Will ebay do something to block buyers from non serviceable areas so that sellers do not have to face loss of PaisaPay fees in case of auto refunds?

Now in the new scenario we have to be online even if we are about to die. If you ship the item and get a heart attack do remember to punch in shipping details before going to the doctor or getting admitted.

I donot say that don’t think of buyers, but sellers are like pillars, don’t let them become weak.

Buyers come and go. But sellers are always there, some of us are there 24X 7 X 365 (eBay X eBay X eBay ) nothing else other then eBay.

You are charging the sellers and giving facilities only to the buyers.

I think ebay is well prepared, made a program of ebay super hero, reputed sellers will teach their business to new ones and then kick them off if they are not ready for such new policies. Sellers ki kami nahi honi chahiye, ek laptop dedo, sellers apna business dusro ko sikha denge. Smart Decision

Dear Snrama, Brand.Deal & other fellow Sellers,

Thanks for your voice and we should strongly oppose this new PaisaPay plan to threat sellers in all possible way. This is totally unacceptable as a PowerSeller and having 100% positive feedback. Basically we don't need big facilities except online credit direct to our accounts after PaisaPay payment period ends. That can save Papers, printers, Printer ink and fuel used by the courier. Other things saves only the Buyers and not for Sellers.

eBay always protects Buyers.

Another thing i request eBay to ask a buyer to communicate 3 times before he leaves -ve feedback. Recently one buyer left a -ve feedback with out contacting me and i lost 2 weeks of sale, that's not justified. If i am fraud seller it is acceptable. One bad feedback is going cost 2 weeks NO sales until we get another 25 feedback to hide the old one though it is withdrawn. If one Buyer missed the item, it does not mean other Buyer also missed. Leaving -ve feedback with out contacting a Seller is unjustified, this is second time happened with in 4 months. I accept 1 in 1000 shipping go missing and i take the loss and refund/resend item to the customer. -ve feedback giving wrong impression to other buyers. That is going to be loss for Seller and eBay. At any worst case i take the loss and keep the Buyer happy, i need some respect for my work by not leaving a -ve feedback without contacting me.

I feel eBay need to discuss with PowerSellers before they implement any new rules. Taking a decision from one side is not good for eBay. If Good Sellers and Good Buyers are not there here, to whom eBay is going to run the business.

Also all rules should comply with Founders note.

It is time for eBay to decide i should stay here or leave.

Kind regards,
CoolBrasCo.

Now what is a sellers position if the parcel gets detained on the octroi post in buyers city.

I had informed Bluedart to get the parcel back, but it was delivered as the problem got resolved by paying some octroi. After delivery I was intimated that item is delivered.

According to new PaisaPay buyer will take a refund. What if the item is delivered after the refund?

Here as a seller I have done by job on time by shipping it through the best and fastest courier service. But what if there is such delay which is out of control of the seller.

This is just one example; I can provide you with atleast 25 – 40 examples within 3 months.

There will be a lot of headache, tension and confusion after December.
