I have improted a product from UK for about 2000$ .But unfortunately due to issue with the supplier/ shipment agency the value of the product is declared as 280$ and it has been sent to India. Here we have a problem on receiving the goods from the shipment agency. Since the value declaration is not matching the actual value the custom office is not releasing the product. I am very confused on further proceedings to clear that product. I would like to know about the penalties and documents required to clear the product from the customs office @banglore. Kindly provide any info and any case like this to approach this situation.
