Dear Users,

With Baazee's acquisition by eBay, you are all now part of a big global family of 135 million registered users spanning across 150 countries. This opens a wonderful opportunity to all of you to transact with users outside India and start or grow your export business. Many sellers from India have already tapped into this opportunity and started selling globally.

We are sure that you will be keen to know more about this opportunity and have a lot of queries regarding this. To help answer them, we have created an International Selling Hub where you will find answers to most of your queries.

In addition to the hub, we will also be conducting an Online Workshop on 18th of February, where Baazee Staff members from International Trading will be present to answer all your queries LIVE!

In order to get answers to your queries, or to know what others think about this issue or just to say hello, do log on to the Baazee cafe on 18th February at 3 o clock .

To know more about selling internationally, please visit:

See you on 18th!

Warm Regards

Hello Cyberstore

You are right! It is exciting to sell internationally.
A number of sellers are selling Jewellry, Apparels and Accessories, collectibles, Home and craft items , items unique to India. Only items which are legally allowed to be exported can be sold, so we advise you to look at items which are prohibited under the export law of the country.

Besides this there is eBay pulse ( www.ebay.com/pulse ), that shows a dynamic view of the eBay marketplace that?s updated daily based on site-wide shopping and buying activity. It includes
? Popular searches
? Most popular eBay stores
? Most popular products
? Highest Priced Items
? Most-Watched items

You can also check back often to stay on top of the latest promotions and hot items on eBay through www.ebay.com/hotlist

Well, i think that the need for Credit Card verification becomes a hurdle for many potential sellers. Even though it lets you enter debit card, but no debit card is being accepted.

The biggest hurdle an exporter from India faces is the logistic costs which make the changes all the equations. Government postal service are highly inefficeient and the strict import norms by america and EU causes furthur delays and problems to the exporter as well as the importer. Professional logistic companies like FedEx, DHL and UPS are the only solution. However when individuals negotiate the deal its exorbidant.

I would like to request baazee to negotiate special rates for baazee sellers so that our products become more competative for export.

What I observe from the current efforts to sell globally is that baazee is encouraging sellers to list their items on ebay. I personally feel that baazee should put in more efforts to route more buyers from ebay to baazee. We have already taken lot of efforts to build this brand equity on baazee and no one will want to do it all over again on ebay where the selling is already cluttered.

Kindly mention the plans which baazee is planning to undertake in order to attract foreign buyers.

Kindest Regards
Nikunj

Dear Poseidan2007

You need to follow export procedures while shipping good outside the country. You will find information on this on many government websites like ministry of Commerce. Besides this there are foreign exchange regulations you need abide by as you will be getting money into the country for the goods you ship. For this please take a look at the RBI website.

Shipping for single items or small shipments are undertaken by Courier companies. There are many courier companies who ship Internationally. You can take look at the companies doing business in India at www.couriermagazine.com

hello ... how about letting us list on ebay india with accepted payment currency in dollars .... that way international buyers will feel at home and we also learn more about how international trade works ... you can start allowing a few top sellers to list paid listings irrespective of sale achieved in dollar denominated currency ... that way these sellers do not have to get everything set up again .... regards
