selling in india from the United States

I live in the US and would like to sell on Ebay India site. Can I do it from the US. Do I need to open a bank account in India/address in India?

Hi, To sell on ebay India you need to get registered with PaisaPay (Paisa is ebay India's PayPayment processor similar to PayPal). For registration with PaisaPay, you need an Indian address and an Indian Bank account.

We been receiving similar mails,and we been giving similar replies.Nobody is interested to address the issue.
Indian buyers are forced to swallow what Indian sellers got to offer.I am not anti-Chinese,but ebay India need to open up its doors.It is virtually a China-market.
I understand,you are trying to solve this riddle.Would you like to write a bit?

I think the suggestion is fair that eBay being the global marketplace should give buyers access to all kinds of supply from all over the world. However, there are other challenges especially around payments and the fact that PaisaPay cannot support non Indian bank accounts.

Having said that, Global EasyBuy is an attempt to make it provide access to Indian Buyers to products that are not available easily in India. Also, since the customs and shipping are taken care of, the buyer gets item delivered straights to his door-steps.

Now our friends in US can list items on US site itself and they will get showcased to Indian buyers on Global EasyBuy.

Now international sellers should be feeling easy.
In fact,I have started getting bids from India for my UK listings,and they are selling to Indian buyers though by PayPal.
Also please accept my very best thanx for the changes after September10.My shop sells are doing good. Previously mostly foreign buyers were buying. Now there are Indian buyers.
