Turbo Lister is EXCRUCIATINGLY SLOW !!!!

This is a really serious problem that i have been facing with Turbo Lister !

Although it is very feature-rich, it is nonetheless VERY VERY VERY VERY slow. If you have around 300-400 items or less in your TL inventory, then you will not feel the pinch.

But the real nightmare starts if you have more than 1000 items. I have more than 3800 items in my inventory, so you can well imagine that the nightmare is WORSE than EVIL DEAD !! And i am not exaggerating at all...


1. Cut and paste from one folder to another takes not less than 60 minutes. Firstly, when i cut or copy, it take around 30-35 minutes. Then when i paste to the destination folder, it takes another 30-35 minutes.

2. When i delete a folder or its contents, it again takes around half an hour.

3. When i am selecting my items in a particular folder and clicking on "add to upload", it takes around 40 minutes or so to get added to "Listings Waiting To Upload".

These were just few of the pains i have mentioned. But overall the software is killing slow in almost everything that i want to do.

This was not a problem when we had 300-500 items. But now it is almost impossible to work with TL.

I have an up-to-date version of TL.exe, with a decent computer with 512 MB Ram, Pentium III, Win XP.
Request everyone to give their views and expeience on this please !

My TL2 has been very slow as well, but only since I updated from an older version to the current one just a few weeks ago. This is the SLLLLOOOOOWWWWW scenario: Create an item and click on the Description Builder button while doing so. Open the file browser window and select 6 pictures for the listing. Click Insert and W-A-I-T... W-A-I-T....W-A-I-T...... Now the pictures appear in the Description Builder Window. Click Save. The Description Builder window closes and then W-A-I-T... W-A-I-T....W-A-I-T... until the screen "un-freezes". Then click Save to save the item to disc and wait again. Creating a listing now includes about 45 seconds of just watching the computer spin.

Turbo Listeer has some real slow responce time here.I only have 10 adds running and it lags like crazy..Running p 2.8 duel core on 945 chip set from intell.I fly on all my other Apps..This program has some very nice things but come on tech support lets get er done alraedy..gezzzz.

Just thought I'd add that I have an Intel Core 2 Duo (in other words, quite fast) tried TL2 for the first time, had nothing on it (no sales, templates, etc.) yet was "excruciatingly slow".

May be I can help. Could you please tell me which browser do you use? Is there a second browser (that you are not using) also installed on your computer?

Well I have over 13,000 items in my inventory and Turbo Lister was running fairly well until it recently got ungodly slow. After I cleaned out unnecessary files from my system a ran a comprehensive scan using Norton and it fixed a variety of "threats." I also deleted some listings but not many and when I started it up again it worked fine. So be sure no virus or other threat is causing your problem. I might also add that my computer is not even that fast and it doesn't even have enough memory to back up my database! But it works well anyway and now I am deleted all of the items in the "Activity Log" (they are all unnecessary) and my guess is that it will run even faster.

I too have problems with Turbo Lister. It is indeed a slow coach. But I use it because it has some features which I do not get on the website. spl_ind

I have 8 GB of memory, a fresh Windows 7 Pro installation, a 2.5 GHz i5 processor, and an OCZ Vertex SATA 3 SSD. I have no startup items enabled in my msconfig.

I can boot up into Windows, do nothing but start turbolister, and it is still incredibly slow.

This software is awful. I'd pay for something that does what turbolister does exactly, but that properly took advantage of 21st century hardware.

Hi,
I dont use turbo lister.
But eBay picture uploader is worst in last 7 years.
They encourage webhosting. But I could do it only once. All the time they cant locate my pic.
Turbo lister or webhosting, both require twice uploading. I dont have so much time. Direct uploading from puter must be better.
Very unmindful about our problems.
