Hi!
We are selling books on many marketplaces. All these marketplaces have the concept of SKU (Stock Keeping Unit). We can upload our catalogue containig thousands of products through excel sheet in few minutes on these marketplaces. Also we can update the prices or features/descriptions of our products regularly in bulk. This is possible by the SKU only.
But eBay lack this feature. We can upload our products in bulk through Turbo Lister but we cannot update the prices of these products in bulk. There is a lot of mannual work. We get data in excel sheets from different Publishers, Distributors and Importers regulary with price updates. We don't know which books' prices have changed. We have only unique ISBNs and use them as SKU. We just upload these sheets to change prices. We want to discuss this topic with other sellers. Are they also feel that eBay should avail this feature at its earliest?
Also they should provide some custom fields in new product creation page. These fields should be named and filled by the sellers as they want and all these fields should visible to buyers on product page.
For example a bookseller will use these custom fields as:
Author: Shobha de
Publisher: Penguin Books
ISBN: 9788190276654
Binding: Paperback
Pages: 275
Year: 2001
Almost all online marketplaces/shopping cart software companies provide these features to their sellers but the biggest online player "eBay" is far behind in this case.
We want to hear your comments or suggestions on this.
Best Regards,
Azeem
