Selling on EBAY is becoming a REAL Headache Now-a-days.

As a seller I am facing more difficult days as buyers have become MORE BOLD and MORE SHAMELESS. YES IT IS TRUE.

Even after reading all the terms and conditions of sale customers buy the product and then ask for replacements or refund far beyond the stipulated time period AND even in cases were we have offered no warranty and refund buyers extort us for replacement and refund only because ebay has given them the power of NEGATIVE FEEDBACK.

I really don't know how much longer I can survive this onslaught of such buyers. One cannot even reason with the buyers as to the cause of delay by the courier or even about the quality of the product. People buy items worth Rs.100/- and expect it to perform like the original item costing Rs.1000/-. All this because they can give NEGATIVE FEEDBACK AND WE CANNOT.

I am sorry to hear these experiences! Here are my two cents on the disucssion:

Buyers are misusing the system:
While most buyers are there to get a good deal and are as honest and fair as our sellers, there will be always some buyers who are unfair (similar to some sellers). The policy is made to ensure that over all impact on site transactions are healthy.

Having said that, there are also some recourse mechanisams available for sellers to deal with unfair buyers (at least when you think that they are being unfair). Sellers have access to file such cases in Community Court where members like you get a chance to vote and decide as to which party is at fault. Since the jury has already experienced eBay, we can depend on them to fairly judge the case.

I also agree with I will mobileaccesories to the extent that you all should actively participate Community Court as jury members, for frankly, it is members like you who can make the most fair judgement basis your experience.

Hi orignalgoods,

Since the buyer has not complained to eBay about the product, or not initiated a dispute, may be he has all the right intentions.

May be he has not understood your comunication. You can:
1. Call him up and explain the situation (emails can at times create confusion)

2. Get MR. BASHAMBER to call the buyer and go to his place to pick up the products (if possible, check the default there itself)

In my mind, most people are good, and your buyer seems to be falling in the same category. Some communication might help clear the issues.

Yes, its a wonderful thought/request to spend time for community court. After all it helps we sellers. I didnt knew the importance of it until one of my unfair feedback was revised recently. From then on, daily i make sure to vote on atleast 5 cases and support fair sellers at the same time fair buyers too.

Good luck all.

And my strong suggestion is to do become a jury member and make sure to vote on atleast 2 cases a day without fail. Treat it as equally important of making sales.
