Revised Criteria for Top Picks Promotion

Dear Users,

The Top Picks Promotion has been pretty successful in driving impulsive buyers to purchase low value items available on the site.

To increase the success of the Top Picks block, we would like to re-structure the criteria for items being promoted under Top Picks

One of the criteria to promote items under Top Picks was that the listing must be Home Page Featured. We are removing this criterion and making the item selection process automatic to ensure that hot selling products are featured in Top Picks.

The basis on which any item will be picked for promotion in Top Picks will be as follows :-

1) Listing must be a Fixed Price item.

2) The listing should have zero or very low shipping charges.

3) The listing should have Paisa Pay as a payment method

4) The seller should have a minimum of 20 ratings.

5) The item price should be about Rs. 500/- (We have been experimenting with gradual increase in prices which will continue)

6) The categories which we will be promoting are Apparel & Accessories (excluding lingerie), Home & Tools, Health & Beauty, Watches, Mobile Accessories and Costume Jewellery. We have selected only these product lines as they have worked the best in the past. However, we will keep on experimenting to include a more broader bouquet of products.

7) Already high selling products (excluding items already promoted on Top Picks) will have the highest priority. Next priority will be items which are doing well in Top Picks

Hi Navaneeth,

U don't need to apply, ebay will pick ur item themselves, if ur item suits all the requirements for top picks...but they are sometimes partial........sorry biren:(

Thanks for sending in the clarification to snrama's query

However, I disagree with your comment that eBay is "partial".

Items are selected for Top Picks promotion based on the criteria mentioned above & the top selling ones among those are finally promoted. We do a rigourous data check which eliminates any partiality for or against any specific sellers.

We firmly believe that in a market place, buyers are the better decision makers as to what they want to buy.
We respect this decision by promoting the items that are bought more (& hence sold more) under Top Picks
