buyers should be made to link their credit cards and bank accounts to their seller and buyer account and this should be verified by sending a deposit by ebay to their bank account or charging their credit card before establishing their buyer account and allowing them to buy on ebay.in.
by this way, buyers will not be able to make fraud purchases, where even though they have registered accounts on the indian website, with a indian location address, they always are not located in india at time of purchase and want to ship the item to their friend in NIGERIA....
RIGHT NOW I DO NOT SEE ANY WAY/MEASURES BY WHICH EBAY CAN STOP SUCH BUYERS AND HARASSING EBAY SELLERS FOR NO REASON.....
unless ebay.in does not take drastic measures to curb such purchases, it will remain A ROTTEN AND STINKING PLACE AND SHOULD CLOSE DOWN IMMEDIATELY...

Registration should not be made free anymore, it should be charged atleast to a minimum amount like Rs.5 or Rs.10 and that too should be paid via credit card or online bank transfer, so that we have som details about the buyer and it wil also be verified.

We cannot expect everyone to have a CC or Netbanking.
Or lets put it up like - we cannot expect only ppl with cc and obt facility to shop online.
regards
As for Nigerian Buyers they are ebays responsibility. !!sAsTaITsHop!!

Hello,
What you all are asking for is minimum buyer verification. Wonder why eBay.in is shying away from this?
Atleast start voluntary Buyer verification as suggested by some members. Buyers can verify them selves by Credit Card or OBT. Such buyers would have a verified icon against their names.
And sellers can choose to make thier items available for verfied buyers only. This would help a number of seller to reduce their UPI's. and would prove an incentive to buyers to get themselves verified.
In the second stage you may implement compulsory verification of all buyers as is the case on other eBay sites.
