Paisa pay going crazy...

Hi Sellers,

To introduce myself, I am one of initial members of baazee.com who paied 2000/- for paisa pay verification along with an agreement and lot of verification documents, was shocked to experience what I am writing below.

Before your paisapay payments reach 50000/- level, stop selling, else you'll also be doomed(loose your payments) like me if you dont have following as proof of address:

1. Ration Card (which usually is needed only by EWS families now). Noone cares to have it in Delhi now.
2. Post paid phone, with physical bill(not email one) in your name. I had an email bill. converted my phone to prepaid the month all this started, so cant get a physical bill now.
3. Electricity Bill in your name. Well, my father owns this connection, so its not in my name.

and some other stupid documents.

They dont warn you before you are nearing the limit.

They dont recognise passports, election ID's and other documents issued by Govt. of India.

They have in their list of documents, employer's letter as proof of address but they'll not consider it even you are working for India's top IT companies.

They dont reply to your mails either.
They dont try to resolve your problems on chat or phone as those guys dont have any such powers, they are just there to keep you assured there's someone who you can talk. Real guys never talk to you. They dont care damn about you.

There's no channel except this community, where you can raise your voice.

You feel pissed off...

Beware.
If you dont have the three things mentioned, dont receive payments over 50000/-.

Regards
Harmeet Singh

Really poor seller support and protection.Ebay will surely loss business if going in this way.Remember ebay if no sellers are there there wont be any buyers.You cannot run a site with buyers alone and no sellers.

I never recommend my friends and relatives ebay to sell.I was encouraging many people to use ebay.But now i am doing the opposite due to my bitter experience.

ebay thinks that it won't be doomed by one or two people.But if you check out the forums and feedback to ebay you can see how many people have bitter experiences and if they spread the word then ebay India has to close their office soon.

Beware buyers

@izone_india...

We have all gone through this KYC process. It is no big deal, just speak to your account manager and things will get resolved immediately.

It's not that eBay has singled you out, yes they are a bit demanding about documents but its ok everyone on eBay has gone through it and are now selling. You too will complete the KYC very soon.

Paisa pay going crazy...

Hi Raj,

you must be some lucky guy who didnt cared for saving papers and never went for electronic bills for phone and electronic statements for banks and others.

or may be you still have a ration card thats of no use with families above poverty line these days.

Or you may have an electricity connection in your own name.

One thing I must say to you all sellers, please start asking for physical paper bills to ebay, as they believe paper ones are only valid, not the electronic one. with the latest discussion with one of the customer support girl, I was told that ebay does provide the paper ones. so I would suggest you all to ask for paper bills too. Dont pay unless you recieve paper ones, as they must only be valid.

Hi, Who says they don't recognize Passport for KYC ? The Passport, I suppose, can serve for both POA and POI.
Even if they don't accept it for POA you have many other ways to complete the KYC. If you still can't then you don't have an Identity of your own. Your last resort is to go to recognized public authority or public servant (Gazetted Officer) and get your Identity and Address verified. Grow up Man.

@izone_india...

FYI, even Govt of India needs paper bills for tax purpose. I don't think you are filing your tax returns that is why you don't know that your auditors need all bills in physical form.

I don't know if ration card is important or not but you surely came to know about it the hard way.

Paisa pay going crazy...

Hello @izone_India ,I think you are missing some thing.
1-They accept electric city bill in the name of your father same as i provided for my kyc verification.
2-They accept any proof which shows your photo identity,
eg-license,passport,pan card,election card.All this documents prove your photo identity as well as your address identity.
3-If you have any account in banks then they also accept the 1st and last page of your pass book i.e the address proof and the financial standings as well.

@RajElectronics
Hi Raj,
I hv been submitting IT returns online for last 2 years now.
Recieving Form 16 thru email from my employer.
Submitting that electronic form16 to IT electronically.
Best of all is am recieving the acknoledgements by email only.
now you want to say, IT dept. has gone crazy? and my acknoledgements will not be valid and they came thru email?
Time is changing, not paisa pay's rules...

Paisa pay going crazy...

@Kabari

They have not yet settled for anything having my father's name, as electricity bill was the first thing I told them that is in my father's name. they said, it must be in your name.

All the good banks dont issue passbooks, they send quaterly statements. that too online, if you have email address. Anything online is not valid for KYC.
I can get paper statement, but for that I'll have to go go the branch, itll be on plain dotmatrix paper, so am not sure if that too will be valid with paisa pay, I'll be charged Rs. 20/page of statement.

Paisa pay going crazy...

Finally got my KYC done.
But its better to be carefull while reaching 50000/- of remitances thru paisa pay and do more business only if you have all the papers ready.
Thats my advice to all sellers.
