@assemblerz

The vat issue and excessive shipping has already started to show its effects. The buyers are confused due to the excessive research required before making a purchase.

Hope things get back on track. HOPE

If buyer does high level research than he will understand who is genuine and who is fake.
But no buyer has time and ability to go that so genuine sellers cannot compete with the fake sellers.
I appeal all genuine sellers to do tick tick method to make things straight. I will keep doing this till its not rectified.

Charging paisapay Tax...?????

Hello Rahul (assemblerz),

I'm happy to address the concerns being raised by you over the VAT issue wherein sellers overcharge VAT in their listings.

I'd like to confirm that at eBay we do understand that overcharging VAT is a violation and hence we are taking both proactive and reactive measures to stop this practice by some sellers.

Proactive measure being identifying and then educating them through outreach that they should not overcharge VAT and also should mention the actual VAT % charged to the buyers in the Title or subtitle of their listings so that buyers are aware of the offer.

Reactive measure being taking down listings of all sellers who firstly do not mention the actual VAt % being charged in their listings' titles or subtitles which is a policy violation under the 'TAX policy' and/or overcharge VAT to the buyers even after repeated warnings.

I'm sure you would agree that while we proactively monitor the site for thousands of listings we do take prompt and immediate action once the community reports any such policy violation. We hope the community would continue to report such members to us through 'Contact Us' and help us eliminate such act.

Regards,
Indraneel
