Dear Friends,
I have a suggestion for eBay to prevent misuse of Feedback.
There should be a column in the 'Leave Feedback' page where all Users who are going to leave Negative Feedback for their sellers must Sign-Up. There they would provide their Mobile No/Credit Card info, for verification if they are not already verified. This will prevent 'just anyone' to leave their comments.
Next, there would be a column where they would put up the exact reason for giving -VE Feedback, in details. This column will be reviewed by eBay Xperts and other users and removed along with the rating if found inappropriate.
All eBay users are requested to post their views on this Important Topic and suggest modifications in my suggestion!

Good Suggesion, But eBay has already making changes in feedback system.

If a user who is suspended in 90 days then his positive/negitive will be removed. This is live now

And in few days,

Buyer who has Unpaid Item Strike feedback will be neutralised!

So why to worry, ebay will look after it. ---------------

I AGREE WITH YOU GUYS TOTALLY & I'M READY TO DO ANYTHING INCLUDING GOING TO THEIR OFFICE & HAVING A SIT DOWN MEETING.

CAN YOU IMAGING THAT EBAY IS NOW THAT STUPID....I HAVE A BUYER WHO HAS BOUGHT AN ITEM..NEVER PAID FOR IT...NOR HAS THE ITEM BEEN DESPATCHED...BUT HE HAS LEFT A NEGATIVE RATING REGARDING THE ITEM ITSELF.... & EBAY HAS REPLIED..YES PEOPLE CAN DO THAT... IS'NT THAT A LAUGH.

Q. IS EBAY REALLY THAT STUPID?
A. YES YES YES YES YES.( & i have their emails to prove it)
All i could do was laugh at their stupidity.
How can someone comment on something they have never received or paid for???

Yes, Primecollection is totally right. There are Users who take the Feddback system for granted, and use it for having FUN!!
One of my friends even received a threatning that his buyer would file an 'Item not received dispute' and give him -VE Rating if his money was not refunded, although he had no problem with the item. AND HE ASKED THIS JUST TO MAKE MISUSE OF THE BUYERS PROTECTION PROGRAM.
Fortunately, he was suspended a week after due to some earlier cases.

The point raised by you on 'a user leaving a negative feedback even without paying for the same'

as snrama pointed out, very soon, some changes in the feedback system will be rolled out, one such change, Neutralising feedback left by members who don't participate in issue resolution processes, will hopefully resolve situations such as mentioned by you.

I THINK EBAY"S NEW POLICY WILL DEFINATELY HELP IN REDUCING THE -VE FEEDBACKS WHICH WE SELLERS ARE FACING.
BUT
I WISH THE POLICY WHICH WAS ADOPTED IN BAAZEE.COM IS BROUGHT BACK.

Now they mentioned if a buyer or seller doesnt participate in dispute process his rating will be neutralized ....what if participate in dispute process?

Have seen buyer giving negative rating for not accepting credit cards....in an unpaid item process he will participate and will say seller is not accepting credit cards thats why I have given negative rating.
But he cant read payment options mentioned on listing before he buys? if a seller doesnt want to accept credit card its his wish .....
THIS IS ONE OF THE EXAMPLE that even after these changes feedback policy will have lots of loopholes.
can give more examples in item not received process as well.
what if a buyer claims item not received and participate in item not received process with a lie...that item not received.
also item not received as described is not inlcluded in this process.Buyer are abusing this policy as well.

But I know ebay policy makers can't listen and understand where I am shouting ....I know its useless.

I agree to your point. It may be that some of your business rivals are trying to bring down your image on ebay. That's what is going on ebay, anyone can get register, just with a new email address..& can play around with anyone's business... hope get good results from ebay.
