I had shipped a gemstone to mumbai in a good condition by registered post. After receiving the product the buyer is saying that the stone is cracked. How can a stone crack by itself.I have shipped so many gemstones to different places and have never received a complain.I think there is something wrong from buyers side. What shall i do??

Cheers!

Hi,
I have such experience. You offer replacement. That is the best option in my opinion. If that stone is emerald or sapphire, it will be problem. Because emeralds come with chromium inclusions. Without tiny black specs, emerald is just green beryl. If it is transparent ceylonese sapphire, it will show inclusions very clearly.
In one instance I replaced one champagne topaz with other stones. That worked just right. In another instance I had to send four emeralds for replacing one. It also worked somewhat.I dont want to say anything against my buyer. I think you understand.
But ,go on contacting buyer. Just keep cool.
It will be sorted out. Yes,no problem is problem really.
Thanx,
Truly,
