I am starting this thread where contributions from everybody is expected.
May it be the Champions of Baazee ERA OR the New Comers.
Helpful ebay Staff members too are requested to show their presence.
The purpose of this thread is to put forward your expertise / knowledge which you think would be helpful to other members.
It may be Tips .....which may help in Selling better.
It may be pointing out..... the best Courier Company for National Selling.
It may be the best email service available.
It may be something related to Computers, Windows, Anti-virus, Ad-ware, spy-ware.
It may be something which others shouldn't do .....unknowingly.
Anything which you think would be helpful to others.
Just don't think that a particular TIP is quite common ....there may be someone who might be benefitted out of that.
MY CONTRIBUTION
I am giving you a small TIP ......many of you must be aware of this. But I still feel that there may be few who are un-aware of this.....
For All those who are using Windows XP and find that the system takes too long to BOOT UP.
Also, when you shut down ....the system takes time.
This may be due to many Items place in the start up.
That is..... many icons placed at the right hand bottom........ near the clock.
Icons of skype, Blinking net connection, webshots, Anti-virus, Bit meter, fax, MSN messanger...etc etc..
This slows down the machine quite a lot.
There may be many, who have higher configuration with higher RAM, but still the TIP may be useful.
Just HIBERNATE the system while closing.
For this.... Click start
Click...Turn off Computer.
Press SHIFT.
The Standby button would change to Hibernate.
Keeping the shift pressed ...left click HIBERNATE.
This will save your current desktop state to your hard disk so that you can resume where you left off, than shuts down your computer.

The blunder you did was that you gave positive to the buyer on receipt of payment.
You should always give rating after the deal is complete. Thats is when you get to know that the Buyer is satisfied with the quality & service.
Now since he has received the feedback from you, he won't care to revert back for a low value Item.
I would suggest that you write to him that you are sending your representative to his house to collect the Item and to refund the whole money.
Since I am in Delhi ....I may be able to help you out.
If he doesn't respond to your mail then do call him on his mobile.

Your sharing of this Speed Post topic may not be of much importance to Experienced Sellers but would really benefit the New Members who intend to sell low value Items, Internationally.
I would like to add few points (+ves & -ves )on shipping through SPEED POST.......
1. The main advantage of using Speed Post is that you are not charged by Volume but only by weight.
2. There is a limit for the size of the parcel. (Not sure but perimeter and length is 1 meter). Non of the staff at India Post is sure about the maximum size of the International parcel. The reason behind this size is that they have a standard size canvass bag in which they put all the parcels. Your parcel would go through if it gets inside that bag but would be rejected if it doesn't fit into that bag.
3. They charge you Rs.50 extra for merchandise.
4. The maximum weight they accept is 20 Kg at local Post Office. Thats because at local Post Office they have a machine of maximum capacity of 20 kg. But if you go to the Main Post Office they would take parcels upto 35 kg for International shipping.
5. They even give you discount if you give them regular business. They expect a monthly business of Rs.10,000. But again a pity....They want you to have a fixed deposite of Rs.20,000 for having a credit account and a discount of 5%. They will then send you a monthly Invoice. They think Customers are fools.
6. They say that one can avail Duty drawback but after running from Pillar to Post you will find that NO one is aware as to how to get Duty Drawback. I assume that its a drawback with Speed Post that one cannot get a duty drawback easily. PNB is the authorised bank for duty Drawback purpose. Your IEC should be active and Duty Drawback account number is fed into the system of CUSTOMS. When shipped through a port, getting drawback isn't a problem.
