Hello,
Lets Learn from each other's expertise.
I am starting this thread where contributions from everybody is expected.
May it be the Champions of Baazee ERA OR the New Comers.
Helpful ebay Staff members too are requested to show their presence.
The purpose of this thread is to put forward your expertise / knowledge which you think would be helpful to other members.
It may be Tips .....which may help in Selling better.
It may be pointing out..... the best Courier Company for National Selling.
It may be the best email service available.
It may be something related to Computers, Windows, Anti-virus, Ad-ware, spy-ware.
It may be something which others shouldn't do .....unknowingly.
Anything which you think would be helpful to others.
Just don't think that a particular TIP is quite common ....there may be someone who might be benefitted out of that.
MY CONTRIBUTION
I am giving you a small TIP ......many of you must be aware of this. But I still feel that there may be few who are un-aware of this.....
For All those who are using Windows XP and find that the system takes too long to BOOT UP.
Also, when you shut down ....the system takes time.
This may be due to many Items place in the start up.
That is..... many icons placed at the right hand bottom........ near the clock.
Icons of skype, Blinking net connection, webshots, Anti-virus, Bit meter, fax, MSN messanger...etc etc..
This slows down the machine quite a lot.
There may be many, who have higher configuration with higher RAM, but still the TIP may be useful.
Just HIBERNATE the system while closing.
For this.... Click start
Click...Turn off Computer.
Press SHIFT.
The Standby button would change to Hibernate.
Keeping the shift pressed ...left click HIBERNATE.
This will save your current desktop state to your hard disk so that you can resume where you left off, than shuts down your computer.
HOPING TO SEE MORE TIPS ON THIS THREAD.
regards

I came across this thread on this discussion board sometime back and have been reading this on and off. I find it really helpful.
I am based in chennai and registered with ebay and paisapay.
I am interested in doing business on ebay on a serious basis. To start with, I can invest upto Rs.20,000/= (more, in future) and hold it in that position for upto 20 days.
I can and am willing to devote good amount of time for this purpose.
Please provide me inputs/information regarding this.
your_solution.

ebay is a platform where you don't need big investment to start a business ..... but you can really dream BIG.
My suggestion is that initially you try to encash your contacts. I mean .... talk to your friends & relatives.... who are already into business.
Get few products from them which you think can sell on ebay. Work out logistics, profits, ebay fees, paisapay fees and other over heads.
Then workout your selling price and start listing atleast 20-25 Items.
With experience you would come to know what sells best & what sells fast.
If you have expertise in any particular category of products then it can be an added advantage.
For any kind of help ..... you are always welcome on this thread.
best regards
Umang Midha .

My suggestion is ,you know by trial and error, which item you are going to sell best. Why not visit your city's wholesale market!just rub your shoulders with the crowd, and in a few days, you know what you are going to sell.
Just get a good dig cam, take the pix and start listing.
No problem.Ebay is not going to charge you a single buck,if you cant sell.So just start and best wishes.
Thanx,
Truly,
Amitava

I have a personal problem. I am not able to handle so much work. Most of the buyers are repeat buyers and I have to ship everyday. I took only 3 days off in one year. I tried to diversify. But that attracting more pple. Getting old. Running 60.
What I am afraid of is maintaining quality service.
Dont know what is coming next.
Please accept my best wishes.
But I wish you grow more and more and more.
Thanx,
Truly,

Your guidence has helped me achieve so much. I dont know where I would have landed without help from community, specially from you. If I remember, I got about 450 total FB(80+). And this is growing all the time.I have stopped counting.
Thanx for your good wishes for achieving 8000+. That is possible,if only we list in .com. I have noticed lately that my very few listings in .com is pulling in buyers.
I think we should pick up courage and start listing in .com that is US site of eBay.
I got only about 7 or 8 items there. I have decided to list 100 items of different categories in .com.
That way our India also gets good exposure.
Anyways, I sm very much grateful to you in many ways. Hope you will continue to help members of the community in future, despite being busy in profession and in eBay.
thanx,
Truly,
Amitava

I wish to list my products on ebay USA and Canada. It will be my frist listing on any ebay site.
What additional formalities it requires ? Presently, I have neither any credit/debit card nor any feedback.
Please guide and oblige.

R.K. Goyal
