Hello,
Lets Learn from each other's expertise.
I am starting this thread where contributions from everybody is expected.
May it be the Champions of Baazee ERA OR the New Comers.
Helpful ebay Staff members too are requested to show their presence.
The purpose of this thread is to put forward your expertise / knowledge which you think would be helpful to other members.
It may be Tips .....which may help in Selling better.
It may be pointing out..... the best Courier Company for National Selling.
It may be the best email service available.
It may be something related to Computers, Windows, Anti-virus, Ad-ware, spy-ware.
It may be something which others shouldn't do .....unknowingly.
Anything which you think would be helpful to others.
Just don't think that a particular TIP is quite common ....there may be someone who might be benefitted out of that.
MY CONTRIBUTION
I am giving you a small TIP ......many of you must be aware of this. But I still feel that there may be few who are un-aware of this.....
For All those who are using Windows XP and find that the system takes too long to BOOT UP.
Also, when you shut down ....the system takes time.
This may be due to many Items place in the start up.
That is..... many icons placed at the right hand bottom........ near the clock.
Icons of skype, Blinking net connection, webshots, Anti-virus, Bit meter, fax, MSN messanger...etc etc..
This slows down the machine quite a lot.
There may be many, who have higher configuration with higher RAM, but still the TIP may be useful.
Just HIBERNATE the system while closing.
For this.... Click start
Click...Turn off Computer.
Press SHIFT.
The Standby button would change to Hibernate.
Keeping the shift pressed ...left click HIBERNATE.
This will save your current desktop state to your hard disk so that you can resume where you left off, than shuts down your computer.
HOPING TO SEE MORE TIPS ON THIS THREAD.
regards

I am sorry for not writing for such a long time.
Can you tell me this?
1.I have added a buyer in my bloced buyer list.He has posted 23 questions today. Can he bid on my items?
There are other issues also.I manage buyers well.
So far just okay. But sometimes I have this sinking feeling.
Thanx,
Truly,
Amitava

Its a good idea to block suspicious buyers. But always answer the questions and tell them clearly what you are selling and the terms n conditions n stuff.
The buyer block is good but they might find a way around it. Some amount of FVC will always be requires.
Happy Selling !! Superstores_Tech

Thanx. This guy is my local user.We are good friends. He is pulling my legs.Whenever I put up a good item,he will just click buy and see the fun.I get stuck up.Even I forget to relist after 15 days.Because all the time I am having new items.
This is not just click buy and not pay. What can I do?He is not my enenimy.Just disrupting my cool.Or he is trying to do that.He is not a poor fellow. He will not let me suffer monetary loss.
But he does it just like that.If I have 10 such well wishers,I'll just become bald.
You see, most of my buyers are international buyers. If I am not able to give their items regularly, they will just not come back.Their favourite items are stuck up.
So I dont know what to do.If you have two serious buyers asking questios and you have this 23 just for fun questions, what would you propose to do?
Ebay should find a way to stop blocked buyer to stop posting questions.
Mind you, this block is absolutely temporary. How can I do selling without buyers?
Hope I have been able to explain.
Thanx,
Truly,
Amitava

Hello,
Ankur has suggested you quite right.
Any blocked Buyer can come again and trouble you with a different ID.
You will have to keep on blocking the ones which trouble you.
Amitava, there is one more Option .....which is PRE-APPROVED BUYERS.
If you have an Item which is meant for your existing Buyers then you may create the Listing only for them. Nobody else would be able to bid or buy on that listing. If anybody else requests you to include him/her in the list then you may do so at your discretion.
best regards

you are right. but preapproved bidding will indirectly mean blocking your feedback. the way feedback works on eBay, if you keep trading with a single member, you will never be able to increase your feedback score.
Although there is no fool proof way to block bidders, but using all the options of Bidder management tool may help in putting these bidders away.
Thanks,
Manish K.

Sometimes private listing is essential. Yesterday I listed and sold an item for a special friend of mine. That was smooth.
But,I once listed a stamp for a special buyer, but somebody else bought that. I was not happy. But what could I do! Cant say no.

Hello,
Pre-approved Buyer tool is meant for occasional listings where you want to sell it to a particular group of Buyers.
Other Buyers who want to bid on that Item would request you to include them in the list. It's then your discreation.
Here additional feedback score is not that important but selling the Item to the right Buyers is more important. For example .... very High Value Items .... which you might want to sell only to the known Buyers.
