Tracking a Registered Airmail Parcel sent via Indiapost to UK.

Hi Friends,

I have a few questions regarding International postage.

1. I have recently sent a parcel via Indiapost Registered Airmail to UK. Is it trackable?

2. "Speedpost International" is ofcourse a costlier than RP-Airmail being a premium service but what is the difference in the prices of the both services.

3. Any idea regarding the delivery period difference between both the services?

Hi Honey,

For shipment to UK:

Registered Airmail - Rs. 75.00 (upto 20 grams) - Not trackable

Speed Post (EMS) - Rs. 745.00 (upto 500 grams) - Trackable

Delivery time:

Registered Airmail - 1 to 3 weeks

Speed Post - 7 to 10 days

Depends upon type of item shipped. Some items are held at Customs take some time to clear.

I've sent an item to UK via Airmail RP. Does that mean that I'm at risk if the buyers does not confirm the receipt of my items?

Registered airmail is traceable now. At least to USA. I have checked the status of my packet both at indiapost and USPS. It will give huge relief to Indian sellers.

There was an increase in international mail registration charges (rs 15 to rs 50) sometimes back.

No tracking is available at UK & Australia posts website for Register Airmails[RR ones],but surprises countries like Spain,Ukraine,Brazil update at their postal website once it reaches there..Thanks

I use Fedex all the time. Its best and if you have good volume they offer great discounts.
