The real alternative to paypal are bidpay.com nochex.com moneybookers.com etc.

Yes, bidpay is probably paypal's closest competitor. I've used bidpay, but its western union money order doesn't work with all sellers (especially those from UK). Moneybookers and nochex are also big players.

Be very careful when you're trying out paypal alternatives. Do lots of research using google. You'll find that almost every site - including paypal - has got pretty bad records.
