help on extra transportation charges demanded for delivery

I have purchased a treadmill item #320545722404 from galaxy fitness shop and paid through paisepay. The product was dispatched through DTDC courier Airway bill number: D02399993 DATE:22/06/10 to port blair after paying Rs.2000/- extra on the amount shown for product. The payment was done to their axis bank account by cash deposit. The product was stopped at port blair octroi centre for non-payment of octroi. The DTDC personnel at port blair has asked me to collect the same from their headoffice after paying the octroi as the delivery area is outside their service area. The galaxy fitness centre has asked me not to collect the product directly. Help me out..

The proficiency of DTDC is quite disgusting. When they cannot deliver a product to the actual destination why do they accept the product for delivery. They then used to keep the product with them and asks the buyer to get it received from their local head offices... The sellers and ebay itself are questionable for misleading the potential buyers on account of door to door delivery..
