eBay India View Item Page detected as Phishing Attack by Anti Virus

Hello all,

eBay India View Item Page http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item= (enter any item number here) is being detected as Phishing Attack by Anti Virus, Kaspersky Internet Security.

It says:

This web page is used for stealing credit card numbers, PIN-codes, passwords and other personal data.

I think this is one of the reason for not getting sale since a couple of weeks.

eBay Team should rectify this page and make it Phishing Attack free immediately to boost sale otherwise buyers will fear in viewing the page and as a result there will be no sale at all.

Regards,

I just tried it, but the page opened normally. I also use Kaspersky Internet Security. Maybe they have rectified the problem.

The Phishing Attack alert is still continuing.

eBay India Team should rectify the site at the earliest to boost sale.

Same here for Trend Micro Internet security 2010

Seems like they added the whole URL string as fake/Phishing Attack site based on few individual customer's report.

It's a problem with their firewall signature/pattern.

I warned trend micro about this false alarm , but they never replied me back. ]:)

Only workaround for me was : :-x
Add this string as exception/Trusted url in firewall setings :

http://*.ebaydesc.in/*

and
http://*.ebay.in/*

Hopefully the more people report about this false alarm to those antivirus sites more the chance of getting rectified.

So
