defective piece was sent

i purchased hcl me v1 tablet from ebay on 15th may .i received it on 20th may.it was not working from the day i received i contacted the customer support they said me i will get a refund or replacement on first day and after five days they called me and said that i will not get any refund or replacement because it will not cover under ebay guarantee.so dont buy any costly products from ebay they will not be responsible at all.iam really dissappointed because it was gifted by husband for my birthday on 30th may it was not working as my birthday has not came yet

Manufacturer warranty will be applicable on the product which you purchased. Contacting service center will resolve your concern. Sellers are not authorized to repair it.
