debit card banking

i've been a fond user of ebay for the past year or so. i've come across many selling items which are of to my satisfaction. till now i've found the payment method to be either paisapay through credit card or online banking or direct cash deposit in seller a/c.

credit card is for those who are able to afford it. i'm not in favor of using credit cards because of the huge interest that the card co. charges from the user. what i'd like is paisapay through debit card of nationalized banks like pnb, bob, sbi, iob &c. and just like credit card, debit card payment assures the seller of payment because a transaction can be accomplished only if the buyer has the requisite balance fund in his savings/ current a/c. this would also assure ebay of a certain transaction due to the popularity of debit card banking.

Hi bala_ji_71 many buyers like you and sellers like me are mailing ebay daily to incorporate debit card and other bank's internet banking facility to ebay.

Lets hope ebay will take proper action soon to bring more payment methods.

Well, I think eBay finally heard your voice. They have added MasterCard & Visa Debit Cards in the list of Payment Modes.

I used the canara bank debit card ( visa ) and purchased from ebay. Still not sure about maestro debit cards, also needs more online banking payment options.
