Why there is two Category of "Paridot" ? Can someone explain from eBay??

Dear eBay,
Can someone explain me the reason of having two Category of "Paridot"?

We Seller should be provided a Seperate Category for SYNTHETIC STONES,So that buyer do not get confused with a real and fake stones.

But eBay do not care about suggestion or advice which will be highly benefite to Community.

Well Let see,Whats eBay reply on this.

Hi Deep,

Long ago I wrote about this mistake of "Paridot" but its still there.

I always support your suggestion of creating a Synthetic Gem category. It will reduce the huge nos. of synthetic stone listings in the original gem category. Hope eBay will introduce the category soon. .

Why eBay is not replying to this issue??

This is really very unprofessional to have a two Category of the same item and adding more to frustation,No one cares to reply to this issue.

What is the reason for no steps been taken to correct it?


I will not give up untill I get a Fair Explanation on this issue too.

We do keep sugesstions from the community in mind while making changes to the site.

There are some changes in categories that we shall share with all of you (the community) soon.

One of the changes proposed is introducing a "Synthetic / Manmade" category under Jewellery

We have also noted your sugesstion on multiple paridot category.

However, these changes take some time to be live on the site. You should be able to see a host of changes by Mid July.

Hi Mr Biren,
Thanx for reply.While you look up the mistake in peridot,and introduce synthetic gems and beads category,you may kindly have a look at the Australian site,may be just for a better coordination.Also please do something about sapphire rubies,corrundum rubies,star rubies,spinel rubies etc.
I list stamps also.GB is the top category in this sector for penny blacks and others.For Gods sake,please just dont say Europe. Please have a separate group for the British connected categories like the colonials/occupations etc.
