Hi

My name is Gaurav Bagdi, as you all can see. I have been a great admirer and a fan of EBAY and used to make purchases and currently doing it, time to time.

However, the last purchase i made here ended up in a disaster and i am still waiting for my REFUND.

I purchased an item - Motorola S9 Bluetooth headset from the seller - showman_inc !! Everything went fine, i used my debit card, charge was processed. within a week or eight days i received the item. Though, once i tried using the item i found it's a FAKE CHINESE COPY of the original item and is very bad in performance. I called up the dealer and asking him about the same. He said, could be some issue with the headset? So, i should return him and he will be refunding my money.
Great !

So, i got up searched for some delivery people in my area who could deliver the item back, meanwhile i had some important meetings to address and was busy i couldn't search the delivery people. after a couple of days, i contacted my friend who is manager in Hotspot/Spice Mobiles who then offered that he can help me with the delivery as he usually use FirstFlight couriers to deliver the items and all across the nation.
I gave him the box, he confirmed everything that stuff is there and Checked with FirstFlight people and put in for delivery.
Now again, as i had some official duties to address i couldn't contact the seller and gave him the consignment number and stuff which is - D26239175 for first flight couriers services.

Though, i thought .. it will be fine as First Flight people suggested, it will take a couple of days for them to deliver it. I posted it on 19th and checked the status on 24th. found out, the first flight couriers people tried reaching the address but the door was LOCKED?
When i complained about the same in the Ebay resolution center, the seller replied that it is not possible?
Now again, i requested FirstFlight people to check .. they found the door locked again..after a day?
I am not sure what's cooking there?? Only SELLER can answer that.

meanwhile, finally on 25th of august .. the delivery was made and received by some MOHIT from seller's side.
Now, i though if it has been deliver and received .. i was just waiting for my refund in a couple of days.
Then, no reply or response from seller's side. I went upto the resolution center .. and posted a note .. that the seller got the item back..but haven't refunded the money?
The seller responded - saying "I WAS WAITING FOR YOUR REPLY, and WHAT A CHEAT YOU ARE .. you SENT ME AN EMPTY BOX?". I was like WTF?

for like, 2000rs seller is tripping .. and saying/abusing .. foul words to me ..a CHEATER and all the CRAP.
I was so ANGRY. and i am angry.

Can you believe this SHIT - seller replied on 28th of August, while received the so called EMPTY BOX on 25th of AUGUST .. claiming .. he was waiting for my REPLY ? (Doesn't that sound like SELLER iS TOTALLY Bullshitting ME and EBAY people. )

I already filed a complained with firstflight people, and they said .. they have a policy and everything was delivered what was given to them. But they also are looking into the situation.

Now, my question is.

1.What's going to happen about my REFUND?

2.Why Seller waited for three days to reply, after receiving the item.. to respond on Ebay resolution center.. knowingly he actually RECEIVED a so-called EMPTY BOX ? (a PLAIN LIE, it seem.)

3.what EBAY is doing to address the issue, as this is not the first time i purchased the item?

4. Even if EBAY wants to believe on seller, why was SELLER account was banned?? Was he selling too many fake items?


I am not sure, what to do. I ordered the item from Ebay, cause i don't have time to go to the store and buy it. That's one main reason why we do online shopping right.

I hereby request EBAY, to look into the matter and resolve it as soon as possible.

A very ANGRY customer.

Make use of ebay guarantee program and file case ASAP if you still have not done so.

Moral of the story is that ebay is market place which is full of good and bad people, it is you who has to weed out the chaff from the grain. No point in blaming ebay website, ebay cannot go about with a stick beating the bad sellers.

Buy from renowned and big sellers, you might pay something extra but you will get peace of mind which I think is more important than a few quids.

I really appreciate it.
I mean, i purchased the items a few times, never had a single issue. Seriously, this is just like crossing the limit. I am trying to use eBay Guarantee program, it's asking for my items id and sellers id .. once i am entering it .. it's not showing anything?? not giving any results.. I am confused.

Though, if you are talking about CASE.. it's already in the works and this seller is calling me a CHEATER look what he posted -

Call eBay on their customer care number. Tell them to open a case for you. Also tell them that you have sent the item back, they will ask you to send the scanned copy of booking receipt to them, once they get it they will process the refund.

I had a similar experience with 3gmodemsale2010 I paid for a 32gb pen drive on 27th. He shipped the item which I received on 31st. When I tried using it, it refused to get detected and when I contacted the dealer, he said there is no warranty or guarantee on the product and since he is selling it cheap I am not expected to complain. What temeriy. He said he has not mentioned any warranty or guarantee on the site so he won't give it. Looks like I too have donated him 2600 through Ebay. I have raised the issue, lets see how it works.

why do buyer buys from new seller selling fake stuff
Indian ppl prefer getting cheated cheaper but wont pay more and buy good product a best price from a reputed seller

Hey @linusstudios , Thanks for the tip. I contacted the Ebay Customer support. Had a word with Renuka, Explained this situation. She said, some Umesh .. or some guy is handling my case right now and he has left for the day. He will call me back for a delivery proof (Consignment number, which i have and already posted in the case).
But, strangely i didn't receive a call yet. At least in Today. She said it yesterday. Am not sure, maybe some problem there.

@medipoint , My Condolences for you my friend. I mean, it's totally ruthless of the seller's selling fake items. I told this whole scene to one of my friend who is a reputed consumer law expert in Delhi High Court. He even shouted at me. Saying, why do you encourage .. BUYING such items and then .. DON'T REPORT IT TO THE POLICE or THE CORRECT BRAND OWNER. I should have reported that fake Motorola which was looking exactly the original one with the ..correct branding and logos to the Motorola HQ in Delhi itself. Will take care of this, moving further.

@amitava123gems , Exactly. We are INDIANS. Yes. Such a diversified nation with such a vast history. According to my understandings. To make a business SUCCESSFUL, you have to RESPECT/APPRECIATE CUSTOMERS .. in every way you can.

@reliableenterprise , Hi there. I totally agree with your point there. Then again, i checked that specific buyer's background ..feedback history. It was 99 percent. If Indian Buyers goes for Less Expensive stuff? Why NOT ?? I mean, that's the CATCH there.. right?? Discount and all.
But, an INDIAN BUYER always make sure of the product he/she is going for and the background. At least, that's what i feel about it.

Regardless, i am hoping for a positive response from Ebay people.

Thanks once again to all of you guys, who are spending some time ..here putting in valuable experiences/inputs and showing a concern to this fellow Buyer.
