What is this URL 'adfarm.mediaplex.com......'? Every time I click a link of ebay.co.in in some site, the link takes me to this stupid site and nothing is displayed. It is a spyware or what? Has anyone else also experienced this? I am puzzled. Is something wrong with my PC?

Dear changpal,
Yes, Its a spyware. Just download the antispyware from Microsoft website and scan your system and remove all those spywares.
Also clear your Temporary Internet Files and restart your system.
Hopefully, this will rectify your problem. ---------------

Navaneeth (snrama) 😉

Hi Changpal,
In reference to the URL mentioned by you, would you be kind enough to provide me with more details as to where you came across this URL? It would help me investigate this further.
I would like to clarify that there is no spyware invloved in this URL.
Awaiting your response!
Regards,
Nisha

Since last weekend, when signing out of Paypal, I am redirected to adfarm.mediaplex.com My PC Tools Spyware Doctor program blocks it from happening, but it is a pain. Today it happened at EBAY.
Seems like too much of a coincidence. Also when I do a Google search on the subject, it appears most major anti-spyware programs consider adfarm.mediaplex.com as a source of MalWare.
What is going on?

This is NOT malware and using a spyware program will not remove it. eBay and many other seller sites are using Adfarm.Mediaplex as a tracker to determine where traffic is coming from when a link is clicked. Which means that when you click upon a tracked link, instead of taking you to the destination, it bounces you off of the adfarm.mediaplex servers and then to the initial target link. Normally this is seamless unless you are using an ad ware pop-up blocker of sorts that will "think" its malware and terminate the connection. This can be VERY frustrating and the only way to temporarily.remedy the situation is to turn off any ad aware programs and pop-up blocker ONLY while you are browsing ebay. Good luck!
