Infact, I am a new user and don't own credit cards. But is it asking for verification of the same, if I attempt to post in "Want It Now".

In order to post a want it now, a user need to fulfill the following criteria:

-Be an existing Seller OR have 5 or more feedback, else
-Need to verify using Credit Card or SMS

Since you do not have a credit card, you may verify yourself with SMS method as well.
