To make the eBay Marketing campaign even more exciting for our members, we are launching a ‘Spot the Ad’ contest for our members.

How to participate?
- Spot the eBay ad on TV
- Note down the time, date and the TV channel
- Post it on this thread by clicking the Post Reply button.

Contest Period: The contest is open from 18th Dec ’09 – 5th Jan ‘10
Number of Prizes: Everyday 3 prizes will be given out
To be eligible for prize: you will need to post the date, time and the channel on which you saw the ad
Prize Limit: One User id will be eligible for not more than 3 discount vouchers during the contest period.
Announcement of Winners: Winners will be announced every Tuesday & Friday.

But the ads definitely needs to get better. Does not sound appealing. Plz do something.. We want more customers. Your advt should be on part with HS18

And one suggestion - why wont we get mails when such things come up. I watched the ad today and then was searching ebay.in to see did they announce it. Had we received emails about this, we would have known this when it started.

Feedback to Ebay,

I have not spotted the ads still but saw them on ebay. Good effort and am sure lot of marketing brains would have gone in to it.

Personal feedback is that i didnt like the ads a single bit except the fact that they beat the clutter.

However they dont appear to be crisp and suited to todays time. Ebay could have researched with some buyers and sellers before finalizing the ads. There could be more focus on the convinience of buying sitting at home and amazing deal and options and deal of the week promotion. I mean there are so many things to potray.

Anyways i wish luck to the team and hope whatever they are trying to do leads to success.
