Shipping Charges

Hello Ebay Team,
It's a wonderful site to shop and feel happy. The only concern is shipping charges. If I win an item for rs 100, I find no reason to pay 150 or more towards shipping charges. This does not make any sense and it's not justified that the goods bought are cheap. With such a huge amount, it is as good as buying something from market. I am not convinced about it. I think I should stop shopping now.

Dear Anup Kumar,

A seller has his own shipping charges. The charges is high because of the product weighted.

I use DTDC Couriers, Some use Blue Dart/FedEx / Professional. So all the company don't have the same shipping charges.

If I send a parcel of 300 Grams by Blue Dart, its Rs.170/-. But through DTDC, Its Rs.70/-.

Also you may get less price here than the market! So don't lose hope. ---------------

I think you should better compare any product by the total Price (incl shipping and others like Insurance, VAT etc (if applicable). Even after that there are many products selling well below the market Price. One need to search well to find the most suitable one. Remember that to buy from the market you also need to spend for your conveyance !!

So many sellers selling thousands of costly Products at Rs.1/- bids are not here to loose money. Its quite justified that they will earn their profit from shipping or others. Nobody can force you to buy from ebay but I think you would still be gainer if you do so and think positive.

The plateform provided by ebay is very useful for the sellers as well as for the buyes. But I have noticed that some of sellers are putting the price of their products very low by diverting a huge amount towards shipping cost, which ultimately passed on to buyer. It is not justified in anyway an item priced at Re.1 could incurred Rs.5000/- as shipping cost. ebay team should formulate some policy on shipping cost and other terms so that sellers could not indulge themselve in such practice.
