SELLERS, BIDDING ON THERE ITEM WITH FAKE ID TO INCREASE THE PRICE.

This shows what kind of watch does ebay keeps on there sellers. Below I am giving just one example on how the seller make fake id’s and bid on there products to increase the price. If you try looking around you will find ebay full of such examples.

The following item is from illusions-india and the item number is 4981828484

You can use this link to view the item

http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4981828484

if you check the bid history by using the link provided below

http://offer.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=4981828484

this is what you see

User ID: Bid Amount Date of bid

sikdar2005 Rs. 70,750.00 07-Apr-2005 19:49:24 IST
jhdamania1 Rs. 70,000.00 07-Apr-2005 16:08:10 IST
vikrantk123 Rs. 60,750.00 04-Apr-2005 13:47:37 IST
jhdamania1 Rs. 60,000.00 03-Apr-2005 11:08:14 IST
vikrantk123 Rs. 59,500.00 04-Apr-2005 13:46:22 IST
vikrantk123 Rs. 58,000.00 04-Apr-2005 13:46:10 IST

jhdamania1 Rs. 50,000.00 02-Apr-2005 11:52:06 IST
vikrantk123 Rs. 50,000.00 02-Apr-2005 13:32:07 IST
vikrantk123 Rs. 40,000.00 02-Apr-2005 13:31:54 IST
vikrantk123 Rs. 30,000.00 02-Apr-2005 13:31:42 IST
vikrantk123 Rs. 21,000.00 02-Apr-2005 13:31:30 IST
vikrantk123 Rs. 20,000.00 02-Apr-2005 13:31:17 IST
vikrantk123 Rs. 18,000.00 02-Apr-2005 13:30:39 IST
bc_mouli Rs. 17,000.00 02-Apr-2005 12:32:51 IST
invnsible Rs. 15,678.00 02-Apr-2005 12:24:02 IST
invnsible Rs. 13,456.00 02-Apr-2005 12:23:35 IST
invnsible Rs. 12,345.00 02-Apr-2005 12:23:06 IST
neetusweetie Rs. 7,500.00 02-Apr-2005 11:36:25 IST

If you see the log for the bids by the id invnsible the item has been bid thrice on 02-apr-2005 in 1 minute increasing the bid from Rs. 12,345 to Rs. 15,678. then the other id vikrantk123 increases the bid amount form Rs.18000 to Rs.50000 in 2 minutes on 02-arp-2005. then the same id vikrantk123 increased the bid from Rs.56500 to Rs.59500 in under 1 minute on 04-apr-2005

Ebay can clearly see things going on but they are quite because the sellers are the one who fill there pockets and not the buyers. I would request ebay to keep a check on all the seller doing this kind of fraud on ebay to increase there bid amount and suspend there accounts.

Hope my post will wake up ebay.

Hi bhavnak,

If you have any doubts on the bids being placed on a seller's item, I will request you to report the same to Customer Service helpdesk. They will investigate the issue and take appropriate actions as required.

You may contact the service desk at:
http://pages.ebay.in/help/contact_inline/index.html

You will need to click on Report problem with other ebay members in the first box and then selling offences in the 2nd box, followed with seller is bidding on his or her own items in the 3rd box.

Warm Regards

I've had an eerie feeling about bidding on Illusions-India products (jewellery, in particular diamond stones or solitaires). I noted something EXTREMELY unusual in the
way this company is presenting their merchandise to us
laymen of buyers and all of you would certainly agree. Just look how they contradict themselves:

On the link Bhavnak has provided,

the product DOES NOT have any "certificate" -- a shopper's term used to describe a reliable lab's identification of the product's attributes which any woman who has been to a diamond store would know, is a must before purchase. Note how they vehemently talk you out of the necessity for this document.

And now ladies and gentlemen, please click on this link :

http://cgi.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4990610577&fromMakeTrack=true

Scroll.
Do you see what I see?
Uh-huh, a USA EGI Gem-ID Card. There you go, on the RHS, you'll find Illusions-India gloating about this very document. So just because we call this a "certificate", they slap us on a language-technicality in Bhavnak's link. Absolutely ridiculous to be contesting the very same thing on one product that they're producing for on another.

The category is same: Diamonds. Same shelf: Rings. That too Solitaire! Same Company: Illusions-India. The higher Carat and clearer stone on Bhavnak's referred link has no certification whereas the lesser one, (on which by the way no one has been bidding on at all so the listings have started again)...is actually certified.

All I can say, is, PAH-HA!

CAUTION TO ALL: Do your research on these companies. Google their names and you'd be surprised to discover their reputations contested with our observations on
message forums rather than finding anything in the easily accessible feedback section.

CAUTION TO ALL DIAMOND BUYERS, ESPECIALLY NAIIVE MEN LOOKING FOR AN ENGAGEMENT RING: Dudes, seriously, pay EXTREME attention to the notation accompanied with the carats. It's your dough. These apparently nonsensical characters like "L-M / I1" etc do actually mean a lot and you must must MUST educate yourselves before bidding anywhere on diamonds or gems about gradings and so called
certifications and the 4Cs of Diamonds to know you're not being fooled. After all, why does a diamond sell on eBay for just 76 bucks too!

I found referring to these very helpful:

Dear
alok1964!! This is to tell you that Ebay looks after these type of complaints
very seriously --- Shill Bidding and they check this process very thoroughly and
if a seller is involved in shill bidding then his id will be suspended by Ebay
and ebay have replied u by saying that they didn't smell anything fowl actually
means that there is nothing wrong in this listing and nothing is violating.

My dear, the point is that Ebay collects 2.5% of the sale price from the seller, so they give a damn how the price increases weather it is self bidding or not, all they are intrested in is their commission which fills their pockets. Ebay is thugs right from top to bottom, encouraging cheat and fraud sellers and letting them get away with it,and by the way do you think writting to discussion board is any help...forget it
