Well I was
going through this announcement where I have seen various changes have done. But
when I saw Ebay wants Gallery and Listing Designer as chargeable I was really
unhappy. My fellow sellers what are your views about this ? R u Happy or Unhappy
? Do you think Gallery and Listing Designer need to be feesable to us ? My
views about Gallery And Listing Designer :
"UNHAPPY"
Reason : If
a seller is selling 2000 products will he choose gallery and listing designer on
1st April ? Answer is NO. Sales will go down. Fake buyers are in bulk in India.
Buyers are not in bulk and quantity of good buyers is very low.
I need my fellow
sellers views too. Plz reply to this thread with your views specifying the
reason . This change will be effective from 1st April,2006. Ebay - R u making
our April fool or what:-(:_|X-( ??

India market is not mature enough and I have 60% Buyers who just bid for fun.(Dont know why they bid then??)
So if you will charge for that Gallery and Listing Designers(ek-do cheez aacha tha and woh bhi charge kene lage ho...??? )then God Knows the existing Seller will have to pay the fees and other exspense from their own pocket...
And I am a Powerseller of Silver Level but pata nahi koi power hi nahi ha....
Any way...I once again wanna make clear that I AM NOT HAPPY with this new expense( Gallery and Listing Designer
wil be charged)
If any of my Seller friend also think the same ...Please post a reply here and also any comment and Suggestion will be appreciate highly.
Thanks and Regards,
Deep Agarwal.

I have more than 100 products and I list around 3-4 times in a week.
Some of my listings are only in store format and I don't know whether they charge the Gallery fee for Shop listings.
For Example for a week 400 Listings
Rs 0.25/- X 400 Gallery Listings = Rs.100/-
Rs 0.20/- X 400 Listing Designer = Rs.80/-
For a Month : Rs.720/-
And spending all these, we don't get one successfull order from each listing. More than 70% listings get wasted.
Its not fair and as said by Preity (touch_and_shine), eBay is sure making us as April Fools.
This leads every seller to increase product price for all listings to recover his costs and the buyers will not purchase as its high compared to their local market.
After few days, eBay will charge listing fee.
I will finally end up selling products on eBay if this continues. Not only me, eBay will loose many many good sellers also. ---------------

1200/- however the other 80% will be charged 0.20 +0.25 = 0.45 i.e Rs. 36 and these 80% listed 100 products each the amount would be 3600/- which is much more than the 1500 collected from the using the featured plus listing!!!

Many Were Very Much Against Listing Fee , So The Next Best Move Was What Ebay Has Proposed To Employ , To Counter The Menace Of Multiple Listings Which Was In Fact Cluttering Up The Buying Experiences Of Buyers
Now Too After The Proposed Changes The Sellers Who Want To List Multiple Times ( 5 ) Can Do So
Free Without Gallery And Save Money But Waste Energy.
Genuine Sellers Without Any Malintentions Of Abusing The System
And Those Who Did Not Resort To Immoral Methods Of Selling Will Benefit ...
I Would Rather Pay 500 Rupees Gallery Charges Which I Estimate
My Charges To Grow After April 1 Rather Than Sitting Glued To The Computer 18 Hours For Searching Out Violators And Devise Ingenious Methods Of Listing Every Couple Of Hours.
With The Latest Move .... Only Junk Will Be Listed Without Images And Buyers Have A Tendency To Ignore
Listings WIthout images ... So The Buyer's See Only gold And No Junk .. So A Win Win Situation For ONe And All.
On A Last Note I Urge Ebay To Think Over About Refunding Gallery Fee For A RELIST If The Item Is Not Successfuly Sold For The First Relist

This is definitely a good step.I proposed this long ago ,if you remember Umang and Navneeth. If you believe me,it will solve a lot of problems. The only big problem is non paying buyers. I am a high BP patient. I feel dizzy if a costly item is bought and remains blocked and unpaid. Truly,,Amitava

frankly speaking... Ebay should first bring in a policy change...that if a bidder wants to bid he has to either enter his CC details or Online Banking Details...so that as soon as the Auction Closes..there is an auto debit to the Card ot Account. this way Unpaid items will be Zero. No doubt sales would be affteced for maybe about a month or so..but all crap buyers... who use the site for time pass wouldnt bid..
Regarding Refund of Listing Fees on non successful Auction Sales.. will again cause a lot of confusion in the invoices raised by ebay since as of now itself..the invoices are quite confusing specially if there are several unpaid sales.!
