Procedure to get refunded

Hi everybody,

I had bought a item from a seller which had some faults. Initially I was ok with a replacement for it. I had raised a claim with ebay regarding the same. Then I disucussed with the seller and found that he was ok with me returning the entire item and I did that. An ebay official called me regarding the initial claim raised and I informed him as well that I will be returning the entire item and that I will be needing a refund from ebay. He told me to send the details regarding the shipment like scanned copy of the courier details to be sent to insellerverification@ebay.com which I did promptly explaining the situation leading to me sending back the item. The seller recieved the item from me and confirmed the same in ebay communication as well. He informed me that he will let ebay/paisapay on refunding me.

I have been waiting for over a week for some mode of communication from ebay or the seller. I have got none watsoever and on checking my mail inbox, it says that since I didnt confirm the reciept of the item, the item status is considered as recieved by me. I have no option to tell ebay that I need a refund other than the claim number initially raised. Is there no clear procedure on the part of ebay for issues like this?

Kindly let me know on the followup I need to do. I extremely appreciate your patience on going through this long and lenghty post. But I believe you understand the panic that has set in. Thanks
