Payment made by buyer, but not Received by seller!!!

Hi eBay India Team,

I have purchased an item (number:7541067510) yesterday and made online payment through paisapay method. My bank account has been debited for the order amount but as per the seller, he has not yet received the money!! Now, if my account is already debited and seller has not received the money, where does the money go??? Will it ever reach the seller??? If yes, by when???

I am totally confused and need answer to these concerns of mine.

Will anybody please take the trouble of responding to this??

There is a know issue with HDFC bank direct payments since eBay.in started on 24 March 2005.

All payments done through HDFC bank are physically fed into the system by eBay employees which takes about 2-3 workings days. So your payment should reflect in the seller's (my) PaisaPay account in 2-3 workings days (by Tuesday latest).

Now the issue is that since it is a known and uncorrectable issue so I feel the eBay should be informing buyers at the payment stage itself that payments by HDFC direct pay will take 2-3 workings days.

At that point buyers can make an iformed decission of paying by any other mode. And if the buyer than chooses to pay by HDFC direct pay only, than he will know that payment will be delayed and such not be needlessly worried about non confirmation of payment receipt by seller.

This should be implemented asap as this is causing too much confusion and distree amount buyers.
