Gautam,

It now over a year since we have migrated o the ebaY system from baazee. So I firmly believe it really time to introduce all the funtionalities of the international ebaY site to ebaY India.

The functionalities sorely missed are:

1) Listing Fees - however nominal they be, this will bring down multiple listings and listing of non saleable products and make browsing the site a much more pleasureable experience.

2) BIN - IPR - PP (Buy It Now - Immediate Payment Required via PaisaPay). Sorely needed to bring down the current absurd rate of UPI.

3) Buyer Verification - through CC / OBT. or atleast the ability to list certain product open only to PaisaPay verified buyers.

4) Ability to list a product as many times as a seller wishes till he pays the listing fees, alteast 15 (which will be allowed from Aug, 22. on ebaY.com)

5) OBT to seller's account for PaisaPay or atleast courier of cheuqes instead of DDs as of present. Same bank cheques are cleared instantly against dd which even if of same bank take 2-3 working days to clear.

Some suggestions which are specific to the Indian site

1) A ratings review by a third party agency which would result in removal of negative feedback with a maximum charge of Rs.100/-. Too many fraud ratings are spoiling every sellers reputation on the site.

2) Stricter verification of sellers to prevent the multiple frauds which are happening everyday. eBay.uk has a system of private seller and business. Such a system could be implement where a private seller could be able to list say x number of items valued at rs.x/-. If a seller wants to sell over this amount, he has compulsorily sumbit his valid vat no. and which would be visible on all his listings.

3) Bring EL charges to a reasonable level. Today a hompepage listing at Rs.300/- does not make good sense for most of the sellers. A EL feature should be available to sellers by which his listings would always come on top of every view either search or category.

4) Integrated checkout. Current ebay checkout is too complicated for the BIN business which I believe is more than 70% of current ebaY.ins sales today.

5) Possibility of accepting debit cards.

This is sanjiv Rajput i want to request you to please do some thing about the fraud sellers in ebay because i have came through two such seller who have done fraud. namely edreammedia and marketing , Netbargain from where i purchased item worth rs. 3500 but till now even after 3 months no one has taken any step to clear my problem. when i called at your collection center in mumbai they said that there is no customer care service where we can discuss our complain and get any proper answer, i had paid for the items and have the payment receipt also, i had forwarded it to your sites mail ID but i havent received any proper mail where in there is any solutions of my problem,and when i asked for my refund then they said that you will get aroung 50 to 100 rs refund. now sir you please tell how can one compare 3000 bugs with 50 rs. when this thing happened i did'nt paid for other item to decrese further loss. then you people cancled my account. Now just to send you a mail i have opened an new ebay account.
Hope you can do something which can help me out.

i have pur. an item code 190000716717 from cheapstor.
as soon as i made the pmt for rs. 6600/- thru online fund tranfer ( hdfc bank ) on 27th june'06 the seller has stopped contact me over phone and till date i have not recd. the product ( yr. team has informed me he was no more registered seller from jul ). imm.i raised a dispute on 3rd july and raised a complain on 22nd july .
yr. claim deptt. send a message that they can refund me only Rs .6325/- if the claim settled ( I AM ALSO AGREED WITH U WITHOUT CLAIMING THE BALANCE MONEY) & they will inform me within 14days for proof of pmt . plz. note , 14 days have been passed i have not recd. any mail from claim deptt.

i want my money back immediately . plz. plz. do something . awaiting for yr. reply . DON'T TELL ME YR. TIME IS UP . THE DATES GIVEN BY U I HAVE CONTACT U ON THE SAME DATE . THRER IS NO DELAY FROM MY END .

It seems to me that the correspondence indicates that Baazee is concerned that the seller should get his payment and almost ensures this through repeated reminders to the buyer.

I had some serious problem with my computer during the same period and it took some time to resolve eventually requiring formatting my computer hard disc. Hence it was difficult to correspond since I do not go online from anywhere other than at my residence.

I also had a serious health crisis, which is ongoing now. An Angiography at Lilavati Hospital at Mumbai revealed multiple coronary artery blockages and was advised immediate angioplasty / bypass surgery by leading cardiologists. Since this happened during the same period I was too distracted to think of Rs. 250/-.

Eventually I have come to the conclusion that it is a risky proposition to buy anything on Baazee and I am lucky to have got away by loosing only Rs. 250/-. I will ensure that I suitably warn all my friends and acquaintances of the risks involved in buying online. And I request you to delete my name from all Baazee records including the privilege club membership. Please do this immediately and do not send any “we are so sorry but we cannot do anything” kind of correspondence.

I am a sincere seller on ebay. Recently my account was suddenly suspended for the reason that my addresses were not true. I then submitted the details asked by you and the account was reinstated. The fun is that the same address is still there. I am not saying that you dont take such actions, but you must see the ratings of the seller and then take such action. You should atleast give one chance before taking such extreme step to regular seller.

Its nice to see that Ebay has organised Open House Discussion with Mr. Gautam Thakar Country Manager - Marketplace.

I want to know that in many of the problems faced by Buyers, there is one common problem faced through paisapay - online bank transfer. Inspite of successful completion of transaction of payment, Ebay's web site doesn't reflects receipt of payment and also "Myebay" page as well as in "MyMessage" there is no receipt of confirmation about this.

After this Buyers gets stuckp. Seller says we have not received the payment.

I am also facing same problem in one of my transaction while purchasing on 08.08.06. Ebay's Live Chat is also not helpful. My problems is not resloved as on date.
I have sent email to Customer Support today. I shall see what is the outcome of Ebay.

In such situation what Ebay would like to say???.

What modalities Ebay like to adopt for resolving this type of problem, wherein hard earned money of buyers gets stuckup unnecessarily??

For resolving this type of issue what are the details buyer sould forward to Ebay??? At what address, fax, email ??

"Contact Us" and "Email" facility seems not so effective.

One of my suggestion / request is to make the "Customer Support" accessible through phone facility as adopted by Banks now a day.

Any how Ebay should reslove the pending issues to keep their internationl reputation. Many Buyers seems now afraid of buying due to this problem of Ebay. That's it.

I am facing trumendous problem with paisa pay system of ebay india. I have paid for the item via paisa pay on 11th August' 2006. UTI Bank's website showed success message after transaction. But ebay system shows item unpaid till date. :_|

On 15th August'2006 i have purchased same item from same seller and paid immediately. After paying for item ebay system showed my first purchase (made on 11/08/2006) as paid and later one (made on 15/08/2006) as unpaid.

I have provided every detail regarding both transactions including messages from UTI bank to customer support but to my dismay issue is still unsolved.X-(

Sir, let me know from you, Have I loose my hard earned money due to faulty ebay system?

Customer support Executive takes very long time to reply. Overall customer support quality of ebay India is very poor. It is need of time, now, to start phone line help facility for customers.

According to my knowledge my of my fellow buyers are facing similar problems.

I want to know if any solution is there with you, for the problems faced by us.

Expecting early action for solving problem.

On 11/08/2006 I had purchased item (single quantity) number 220015498712 and paid immediately Rs. 1590/- via paisa pay using my UTI bank Account. Following is the message from the bank for your ready reference

But system showed item as unpaid. And i have contacted customer support immediately with all particulars.

After making payment for later purchase, ebay system showed my first purchase as paid and second as unpaid. I contacted customer support immediately but i don't received any response.

Now either refund my money or paid directly to seller. I don't want to loose my hard earned money. Unwillingly I have made my mind to file a legal suit against ebay india, if my problem is not settled in very near future.
