No Notification and Item removed

Hi,

I was constantly bidding for item # 200074608114 and when its time to check whether I won or loose the bid I found that the Item has been removed. Without any notification. Even today noon I have bided wrong amount and EBay has allow me to cancel my bid because as per their terms I can cancel my bid before 12 after of bid ending time.

I was about to win the bid but I found that there is no item which I had bided for.

This is kind of cheating. If you don't want to sell the product this should be not be listed. I am even not able to trace out the seller in this system.

I would oblige if eBay will help me to find seller. I would like to talk to him. Why eBay and seller will do this.

Thanks for posting in your opinion and thoughts on the forum!

As you rightly pointed out, eBay gives the buyer the right to remove their bid before 12 hrs of listing end time. Similarly sellers also have the ability to cancel their listing until 12 hrs of end time. The highest bidder of the item receives a notification of item deletion.

Buyers get the bid retraction ability to ensure that in case there’s a mistake by the buyer in placing the bid, he could make amends. Similarly, at times, seller can also face last minute issues in terms of supply constraint or some other issue.

However, if either buyer or seller adopts this practice on a regular basis, it is considered as unfair practice. Such users can be penalised for this behaviour.
