DEAR ALL, ITS VERY CLEARLY SEEN THAT THERE IS NO MEANING AT ALL IN ASKING A LICENSE TO SELL A PRODUCT (IN PARTICULAR CAMERAS, DIGITAL CAMERAS, HANDYCAMS ETC., AT BAAZEE)100% OF THE SELLERS SELLING REPUTED BRANDED CAMERAS, DIGITAL CAMERAS, AND HANDYCAMS AND ACCESSORIES ARE PURELY PROCURED FROM GREY MARKET, THEN WHAT IS THE MEANING IN ASKING FOR A LICENSE TO SELL A PRODUCT?" AUTHORIED SELLERS ARE PURELY IGNORED BY BAAZEE/EBAY.:-(. CAN ANYBODY AT BAAZEE TURNUP AND SAY THAT THE BRANDS SOLD THROUGH BAAZEE/EBAY LIKE, SONY, OLYMPUS,NIKON, CANON, KODAK, PANASONIC HANDYCAMS ARE SOLD PURELY BY AN AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTOR,DEALER,SELLER, RESELLER/LICENCE HOLDER.

Baazee does not care if only smugglers and their like prosper on baazee.com as long as they get their moolah in terms of listing fees and transaction fees.
In no marketplace taxes / duty paid & taxes / duty avoided products share the same shelf space. Only in Baazee.com
The high profile MMS scandal and the lesser know "Cartier Watches" scandal has tought baazee.com nothing. They are still waiting for bigger scandals to happen.
IT a time bomb waiting to explode ........ the clock is ticking ....
Haazaars of ways to tackle this menace have been suggested but why would Baazee.com care when the green bucks keep coming fast and furious.

B-) I Totally agree with you bcas its clearly seen from the listings that 1ly the products sourced from the grey market are sold at baazee,now i feel that there is no meaning in having a brand store at baazee/ebay and asking 4 a licence to sell a product at baazee by baazee. i strongly feel that its not making any sense in creating a branded store as well as seeking for a license. i am really waiting for the implementation of VAT, Lets wait and see whether any cheanges are taking place after april 1st

We realize that every category has unique challenges and opportunities and we appreciate your entrepreneurship, ability, and efforts towards building an electronics business on Baazee. Below are some thoughts and clarifications about our polices which we hope should respond to your concerns.
First, we understand your suggestions about an "authorized distribution" program. As you are probably aware, industry, and association distribution rules or "licensing" such as that you refer to are tremendously complex, always changing, and far reaching. As stated in our User Agreement, eBay does not have the ability to know all of these rules and it is incumbent upon our users to resolve these issues independently prior to listing items on the site.
Second, our User Agreement requires users to pay any applicable duties or taxes prior to listing an item on the site. Our User Agreement is a legally enforceable contract, and in addition, eBay/Baazee cooperates with the authorities to enforce such laws when law enforcement or tax authorities are engaged in such investigations.
If you think you have found a case where a user is in violation of our User Agreement or the law, eBay/Baazee will act to suspend such user upon receipt of documented proof. If you have an independent dispute or contract you seek to enforce against a user, such as the "authorized distributor" issues above, please contact that user directly.
For more details on import-specific policies on eBay/Baazee, please refer to the following excerpt from the Baazee user policy:
"You shall comply with all applicable Domestic (including the provisions of any applicable Exchange Control Laws or Regulations in Force) and International Laws, Foreign Exchange Laws, Statutes, Ordinances and Regulations (including, but not limited to Sales Tax, Income Tax, Octroi, Service Tax, Central Excise, Custom Duty, Local Levies) regarding your use of our service and your bidding on, listing, purchase, solicitation of offers to purchase, and sale of items or services.
