HOW DO I DRIVE ADDITIONAL TRAFFIC TO MY SALES

You could use a combination of the following to drive traffic to your sales
  • When running a sale, re-design your shops page to include information on the sale
  • You could also re-design the stores header to include information on the sale. You could than include the stores header in all your listings. Steps to include store header are available in this link - http://pages.ebay.in/help/specialtysites/custom-listing-header.html
  • You could leverage feature fees on a few of your listings from which you could drive buyers to your other listings through cross promotions. To learn more on cross promoting your items, clink on this link - http://pages.ebay.in/help/sell/cp-overview.html
  • You could also include information on the sale on your “About Me” page
  • You can also promote your sales through your shops newsletter and mailing lists

WHAT IS THE BEST DURATION UPTO WHICH A SALE SHOULD BE RUN?

Use judgment in deciding the sale duration. If you list for a very short duration, buyers will not come to know of it. Whereas, if you do for an extended duration, the interest level on the sale will die off. You may not get any incremental sales and might lose out on potential revenues due to the discounted prices.

HOW DO I EVALUATE THE SUCCESS OF A SALE?
Any sale should lead to incremental business for you. A simple methodology that you could use is to analyze the “pre and post” sales volume and your revenues.
A sale should ideally lead to more sales volume and revenues for you during the sale period.

We have taken note of your feedback to introduce Best Offer. We also believe that it is a significant value added feature for a buyer. We are actively considering it's launch and we will keep you informed as and when we launch it.

We are already working on the "immediate payment" feature.

We are expecting the feature to roll out in second half of the year. We shall share more concrete timelines with our members once we are closer to the roll out date.
