Launching eBay branded packing material, discontinuing PowerSeller material

Dear Community Members,

We are happy to announce the launch of eBay packaging material that will be available to all our community members to use. All our sellers can now directly buy the material from here.

With the launch of eBay packing material, we will, henceforth, be discontinuing providing free PowerSeller packaging material, the last installment of PowerSeller packaging material will be sent to eBay India PowerSellers by September 18th 2009.

you are saying that the Last Installment ("or" Supply )will be sent to the powersellers by 18th september.
Please Note I Have Received only 51 Bags since March 2009 till now.
& i just Ordered Packing material through the link provided in this discussion by you.

after all ! its Good that any Ebay seller can buy this whether he is a powerseller or not.
Please also add one option to make the payment through our paisapay account.

The team here is glad that you liked the new option 🙂

I agree there were lot of inefficiencies in estimating the supply requirment of sellers and distributing the material efficiently. Which is why we came up with this options for sellers.

I am afraid, you will not be able to use your PaisaPay account to buy, since PaisaPay is only a payment gateway. It can not store your money like a bank account.

However, wish you lots of sale this festival season! 🙂

Selling on ebaY just got a little more expensive.

A seller doing some 1000 orders a month will be spending an additional Rs.6000/- or so.

Koi Gal Nahi - Buyer hai na denewala 😉

First withdrawal of max cap, increase in shop fees and now charges for Packing Material.

Methinks a PS with even 500 transaction per month (like poor ol me) will be paying out Rs.10000/- per month, about Rs.20/- more per transactions.

I Strongly oppose this new option.

1. the prices are too high every package willcost now rs. 6 adtl
2. pricings are too high. another leading shopping website re***f.com provides the bag at much cheaper cost
3. it seems that someone tiedup with the ebay and doing business with sellers
4. i will go with cost effective packging bags and other things

Your envelopes are unaffordable & very costly.
please list unprinted unbranded packing envelopes that will be cheaper than yr printed branded envelopes.

i am still waiitng for the contact details of the supplier.

also please let all of us know when the last dispatch of packing envelopes will be sent .

Rakhi (kaya_jewels) - There are only eBay branded packing materials on offer. As mentioned in the post, eBay branding standardizes the way your shipments look and improve buyer experience with professional looking packages.

Moreover, I'd like to clarify that branding these materials has little impact on the cost of these materials. So I'd suggest you not to compromise on buying plain packing materials just to save a few bucks.

Devesh (veedeedirect)- Think about it this way - you would anyways spend Rs. 2 - Rs. 3 on packaging of your items. These bags are available for Rs. 4 onwards and are waterproof, tamper-proof and for rugged handling. Once sealed, you can be rest assured of the safety of your item. Plus, it provides you an opportunity to increase your buyer's experience and thereby DSR scores which helps you to only sell more.

You may also expect a reduction in the cases of items being stolen and empty packages being delivered to buyers thus saving you from intermittent losses.

The cost of packing 500 items for a month would be around Rs. 2,000 (4x500) + Rs. 120 (2 Tapes) + Rs. 400 (500 letterheads for invoices) = Rs. 2520/-. There are no shipping charges and delivery at your doorstep whenever you want. Guess you added a 'zero' extra there ;-).

Preeti (stylish_india) - "Market mein is se sasta milta hai" but good quality always comes at a premium. Our objective has always been on the safety of the item.

Manoj (kumar.m) - I know which materials are you hinting at and by which sites. Let me assure you that we have assessed the quality and price of those materials and then arrived at this offer. I'd sincerely request you to try these packing materials to feel the difference.

I'd once again reiterate that these materials are available at reasonable rates for the value that they carry and being a seller myself I'd anyways spend Rs. 2- Rs. 4 on packaging of an item.
