Item not as described: Suggestion to Ebay

When a buyer gets a product which is not as described in the listing he/she has two choices 1) contact seller 2)ask ebay for a refund.
In option 1: If the seller assumes responsibility he asks the buyer to return the product for a replacement or a refund. As I see it the buyer is always at a loss. From where I am, it takes about 80/- to 100/- rupees to return the product. Even if I receive a replacement/refund I end up spending on the return charges, which makes the cost of the product equal to what you can get in your local market. The whole idea of using online portals is to get the best and the cheapest deals even if you are not in a budget.
Hence I would like to suggest to EBAY that Sellers should be encouraged to refund the money for returned products or they themselves should arrange a reverse pickup as many of the sites do these days. This i believe will make the seller more cautious in dispatching and listing the product rightly and also give confidence to the seller that his/her money is safe in these types of scenarios.

@amit_kuthiala...

You can contact ebay for the return of your product. Ebay has in place a return pickup service where the ebay courier picks up the defective product from the buyers place and returns it back to the seller.

You do not have to pay anything for sending the item back, just contact ebay customer care and they will do the needful.

Your seller should have informed you about this service by ebay, if not then you are buying from an incompetent seller.
